Undertake amid despair

Anonim

Today it is very common to find hopeless people in our work, in our family and in our social environment. Even, for many it is very hard and very easy to find despair the most feared place: The mirror.

Losing the certainty that "everything will be fine" in very general terms, is like losing the compass that guides us on the path of tranquility and peace. This involves negative alterations and severe disturbances in the person's mood.

Many times despair is combined with frustration and absolute demotivation originates. Contrary to this, undertaking is an exciting task that requires something deeper than imagination, action, will, perseverance, perseverance and determination: It requires hope.

Some people consider with certainty that it is difficult to think about entrepreneurship in the midst of crises and social, political and human situations that discourage even the most motivated of entrepreneurs. In fact, it is not easy to project yourself when almost all the variables that motivate entrepreneurship are put uphill, when a distorted economy crushes you, when the level of conflict is high and when you are not sure that your entrepreneurship can survive and prosper, no matter how good it is, no matter how applied, efficient and intelligent the entrepreneur manages to be.

To understand the entrepreneur's motivations a little and understand the rational basis of his hopes, we must combine his true needs, analyze what he considers fair and appropriate of the reward or satisfaction to receive, evaluate his expectations, objectives and goals, in addition to considering the previous experiences of the entrepreneur as a person, in its most human aspect.

The logical and convenient thing is that, like the castaway, we maintain hope, even in adverse conditions and in hostile environments, since hope, through its conscious and unconscious impulses that are unleashed in the mind and body, is the origin of the main motivational bases of the human being and the entrepreneur.

Of course, unfounded hope must be eradicated from the entrepreneur's mind. Expecting yourself without arguments amounts to self-delusion and sentencing any project to a sudden abortion or, at best, to an early death with unpredictable side effects. On the other hand, despair is a dire feeling that corrodes the entrepreneur's potential, undermines the road and strikes at the spirit of entrepreneurship.

The entrepreneur's motivation arises from his own conviction and is perpetuated in the individual with the consolidation of this habit. For this reason, an entrepreneur must have enough self-esteem, in addition to a rational dose of optimism and abundant knowledge, skills and competencies, to create a tailored armored suit against despair.

I believe that every thought generates an action and that every action becomes facts. In that sense, I have no doubt that thinking about taking advantage of crisis situations as real opportunities should be the key to mitigating despair. In short, at all costs we must try to see the beautiful side of the ugly, while the situation turns ugly, but with the firm transformative objective of undertaking and turning coal into diamonds.

In baseball terms, when undertaking in adverse conditions we must remember the famous phrase of Yogui Berra, where he pointed out that "the game does not end until the last out is made."

We must understand hopelessness as a pause to rethink our ideas, goals and even our future. Hopelessness is not the end of the story, but the incubator of a new beginning that is brewing in our minds and that will encourage us to a new business or life project. In this sense, the born and genuine entrepreneur can go through moments of hopelessness with various levels of unease, he can live moments of great tension, he can prove bewilderment and momentary misplacement, but he never gives up, because the nature of the entrepreneur is the to impose oneself on obstacles, to minimize difficulties, to be reborn from his own ashes and to always surpass himself.
