Business innovation environment in the university system

People in organizations behave according to their institutional design that allows them to achieve success. Consequently, the evaluation of business dynamics based on compliance with the principles that support its design provides important information to the interior and exterior of the organization. This valuable information allows to strengthen, direct and position business activities in a sustained manner.

In this context, the Research Directorate must guide business innovation studies towards the formulation of strategic objectives in real institutions, in real cases, that allow business science students to contribute to the decision-making of managers of these companies. Thus, business students have the opportunity to learn by serving and to serve by learning in a dynamic methodology called Service-Learning.

The instrument for measuring the business environment that students develop systemically in their training, as business researchers, allows them to process information and build knowledge, combined representations, operations and mental attitudes of those involved with companies, creatively or critically, to produce not only beliefs and knowledge, raising problems or detecting needs (gaps), but also looking for solutions, making decisions and communicating and interacting with those who carry out this dynamic within real organizations. The results of scientific research allow them to establish goals, means, strategic objectives and social relevance in their academic-scientific training in business sciences.

The focus of studies in business innovation should be oriented to the reinforcement of business strategies and the operational context of business designs. Sustaining and growing design requires comprehensive thinking about the concept and dynamics of the organization: its diverse systems, structures, personnel, measurement of results, assurance of processes, organizational culture, and internal and external interactions of the company. In this sense, the follow-up carried out on business design allows managers to take note of the results of student research and business students allow them to develop future designs based on the analysis of present and real situations.
