Because at the moment in which society must adapt in order to progress, it is faced with the great problem that it is already built and cultured based on how society learned to behave and function (for better or for worse) We can find this with problems of a very recent contingency such as climate change, a problem that is independent from people or companies, they could have changed if, by default, society since it operates in the world is aware of it… unfortunately this is not the case, so no matter how serious the situation is, no matter how much effort is generated by small crowds, the government or a few companies, the problem will never be alleviated at the root or effectively.
So what is the solution?
Education, since this is the only one that is really general for everyone and molds young people based on their establishment or educational plan, is the one that the next generations spend the most time on and the only one with the necessary power to ensure the future of a country. In a government you can exercise repression or generate debauchery, you can also balance both, but educating is what can guarantee a stable future, giving the tools to young people to face the problems that the old generations caused,But… what if we are not giving the tools to young people? Do we make it impossible for teachers to have classes properly? Do we prevent them from exercising their profession comfortably and effectively in municipal lyceums? The government turns a blind eye to the problems and the only solutions they provide are patches that are not very stable? What if educating becomes the burden of the state rather than its mission? Well, when all these factors are found together, they result in Chilean education of the 21st century.
