Emotions are like an open circuit where emotional stability depends in part on the relationships we establish with others.

Unlike the rest of the systems of the human body that are a closed circuit (Circulatory, respiratory, among others) reason that explains the importance of the leader, his actions and how he influences decision-making.

Emotional leaders become "limbic attractors" who exert a great influence on the emotional brain of their followers.

Especially when the emotions they bring into play are empathy, compassion and a sense of understanding. On the other hand, negative emotions hijack the attention of a few, breaking the environmental harmony, thus generating a state of dissonance, where everything is simply disconnected and unbalanced.

It is necessary, the formation of resonant managers, capable of prolonging a positive emotional tone, in order to ecologically live on an emotionally intelligent planet. Goleman himself (1999) defines the success of managers, leaders and workers as people with high levels of performance, well-developed technical and emotional skills, which allows them to achieve the capacity to generate positive feelings that makes them increasingly competitive for their family, management, society and the environment. This is the true ecological competition, which will allow the survival of living beings on this planet.

Planet earth is a wonderful place to live. The proof of this is the enormous number and variety of species that have been able to adapt to all kinds of environmental conditions for millions of years. However, human beings, the most evolved of animals, are breaking the balance of the biosphere, endangering the existence of all of us who are part of it.

The Western tradition seems to be very concerned about self-esteem and the importance of oneself and is often unconcerned about internal and external harmony. That is why emotions are part of effective management when making decisions. The emotions and moral principles that govern us are fundamentally based on the extraordinary importance we attach to social relationships and the environment is included in them.

What we need within environmental management is to universalize a more humane ethic. An ethic that induces individuals and societies to adopt attitudes and behaviors that are in line with humanity's place within the biosphere, that recognizes and responds in a sensitive way to the complex and constantly evolving relationships between man and man. nature and men to each other. With what has been said, the importance of Ecology is highlighted as a competence of Emotional Intelligence to guarantee the survival of all species, including humans. The signs of an enormous historical change are beginning to be witnessed: The traditional ways in which men have conceived and thought about reality, have led to the alteration of their objectives and way of acting,characterized by a deep rationality of his actions, away from any sense of empathy, compassion for himself and the world. It is here where the development of the ecological sense is taking place as part of the emotional competencies. Emotional intelligence includes the person and their environment. Therefore, Emotional Intelligence and Ecology are two concepts that correspond to the same construct: "Move".

In the person it manifests itself in contacting one's own feelings, discerning these feelings and directing behavior in a constructive way. In the environment it is determined by the leadership capacity, the attitude to relate adequately with other human beings and with the environment, seeking its conservation. For this, it includes a series of competences such as self-knowledge, self-regulation of these destructive emotions, through preventive actions that promote conservation, self-management to respect the habitat and sovereignty of all living beings.
