Automation arose in the year 1750 when the industrial revolution began, over time it has had modifications, which in the past was a desirable work tool, today it is an indispensable tool to compete in the globalized market.

Process automation aims to use computerized and electromechanical systems or elements to control machinery or industrial processes, this is done through industrial instrumentation, sensors, field transducers, transmission systems, data collection, software applications in time real, etc., to supervise and control plant operations or industrial processes.

Automation, in addition to the previous objectives, seeks to have and work together with quality control systems, these control systems refer to the mechanics, actions and tools carried out to detect the presence of errors, in addition to knowing the specifications established by the engineering of the product and provide assistance to the manufacturing department so that production reaches these specifications obtaining a quality product.

Automation in the company "Pinturas MX" will be implemented in the processes of designing a product according to the needs of the consumer and with the limitations of manufacturing, applying automation, to carry out our automation installation we will include the following elements:

Machines and actuators: A conveyor belt will be used inside the filling of the paint bucket.

Human-machine interface: through measurement and evaluation mechanisms that will be carried out by a supervisor, who will operate the controls of the (PLC) that will carry out the process, as part of the machinery. Motion sensors will be used to locate a filling bucket in due time (by an operator), this in order to avoid losses at the time of filling.

For the information of the design and production control stages, computer programs are being developed for drawing (AUTO CAD INVENTOR), for design (MACROMEDIA FLASH), to observe the simulation in manufacturing as well as for planning requirements., planning and control. Which allow us to observe in detail the distribution, structure, measurements and location of the machinery for the production of the product.

Control part: It is made up of quality verification procedures that will be determined by those responsible for the production of paintings.

Operational part: In the company “Pinturas MX”, the machines will be operated with Programmable Controls (PLC), which are programmed to carry out the processes at certain times.

Product Design Subsystem

Product planning: It took into account the most appropriate technology, in this case sensors, mixers and tubs of resistant material.

Statistical analysis: it is an in-depth study of the process to reach a final decision in which is the introductory part that is carried out by means of simulators and planning.

Suppliers register: with it we determine the development of a register that contains information on quality levels, in this case the materials that are needed to make the paint.

Quality capacity studies: within the manufacturing requirements, it is necessary for the designer to know about the quality capacity of machinery in order to generate a design capable of being manufactured economically.

Experience with previous productions: in the case of paints, it is an industry where work has already been done previously, the errors that were made to prevent it from occurring, and the adaptation of the plant with a better distribution, pilot tests can also be implemented.

Standardization: the design of a product must meet the quality standards set at the national or international level, it is intended to achieve a certification, for which it is working with effort and dedication and the paintings are of the best quality.

Process subsystem

It is the stage where the manufacture of the product is preceded in such a way that the processes do not reduce the quality of the input materials.

Process Analysis: For this to affect the paintings it is necessary to do a study and take time to keep control of the manufacture of the paintings.

Analysis of Operations: The materials of the Mx industry are private to preserve the authentication of the paintings, however if they undergo laboratory tests we will determine that they are not toxic and friendly to the environment.

Classification of Quality Characteristics: One or more quality characteristics are generated during the manufacturing process of the paints, which must be classified according to their frequency of occurrence and their impact on quality so that they are taken into account by the experts when required to accredit the desired certification.

Analysis of the Quality Level: the quality level that best suits the company is not zero defects, since if it were possible to achieve it, high technology would be needed, in the case of MX paints, some methods will be used for quality control in this case they will be the following:

Control of Tools and Devices.- We implement sensors (reflective optical and ultrasonic).

Process Capability Study. - Within the study that currently has MX paints, the acceleration capacity in the process has been established at 4000Lts of paint per shift (8hrs), the equivalent of 2100 buckets.

Training and Personnel Training. –The MX company has a criterion where humility is encouraged, in which selfishness is avoided and trust is implemented, teamwork, participation, communication and equality within and outside the industry are intended for all those who work in She feels part of the company and not only as a common worker, the ability to operate the system will be disclosed to all this to avoid work stoppage in case the manager does not attend due to various factors.

Materials Management in Process. –Mx paint material is zero toxic, a case that is considered competitive, since the operator and the consumer do not suffer damages in the event that the paint is ingested or used.

Use of Control Charts. For quality to be carried out within automation, it is necessary to use models and methodologies to record data and possible errors that may occur in the industry, in the case of MX paints we will use cause and effect, Pareto diagram, histograms and sheets check.

Quality Audits.- In the case of Mx paints, it has not been carried out but will be carried out so that it is certified, since it complies with everything necessary for certification.

The quality control systems serve as a guide for the execution of projects, giving a different vision of the problem, as well as the possible solutions and effects that they would have on the implementation of the automated process.

The application of a control system in an automated process, allows updating the technological platform in the company "Pinturas MX", through the scope, schedule and project team.

Automation is only viable if, when evaluating the economic and social benefits of the improvements that could be obtained by automating, they are greater than the costs of operation and maintenance of the system.

Undoubtedly, the implementation of an automated system is substantial for the integration of quality in products.
