What we call professional growth within a company has to do with:

- Skill development

- Capacity development

- Learning new tasks

In order to synthesize, the three items indicated above are summarized in:

- Learning ability

What do we mean by this drop in the professional growth rate ?

Simple:

- In 1995 we incorporated a junior assistant, in 2000 the assistant had become a Senior.

- In 2000 we incorporated a junior assistant again, in 2005 he became a Semi Senior.

- In 2005 we incorporated a new junior assistant, in 2010 he did not manage to reach the Semi Senior category.

This reflects a much lower learning capacity.

The obvious question turns out to be the following: Is there a decrease in intelligence?

The answer is NO, at least NOT necessarily …….

The cause for this marked decrease in professional growth is, as in most cases, a conjunction of factors:

- Argentine education has significantly lowered its level in the last four decades.

- The misinterpretation of concepts such as: freedom (today it is more like debauchery), authority (which is not authoritarianism), democracy (lack of understanding that such a concept is not applicable to all areas: education is not democratic, indications at work are not debated, etc.), repression (not a bad word! Instincts, bad wishes and actions, crime, etc. must be repressed)

- Excess information and not training.

- Culture in which immediacy prevails: any individual who approaches a PC for the first time wants to chat, send photos, surf the Internet, make presentations and draw …… Now, do you know what an operating system is? Primary operation of a PC? Knowledge (and not by eh!) Of basic programs: Word, Excel, Access?

- And above all, LOSS OF WORK CULTURE.

Government policies, as you may have already noticed, have their consequences not only in the economy ……….

And when these policies defend the “so-called worker's right” inciting it to: stoppages, trials, pickets, road and street cuts….they do not defend THE RIGHT.

Deforming a culture of fair claim, to transform it into a claim for the pleasure of claiming without considering what is given in exchange for what is claimed and without measuring those who are harmed.

Government policies that do not dialogue promote stubbornness, bordering on folly.

When demagoguery wins, the worker does not realize that they are being given fewer and fewer learning tools in exchange for simple coins.

And the most devastating thing is that these policies do not pay for education, slogans are currently taught:

- Wild capitalism

- No to repression

- Exploitative entrepreneurs

The list is long and the subject at hand in this note is not politics ……

The consequence is that today the employee does not believe in a job performance, he does not like what he does, HE IS NOT INTERESTED IN LEARNING! WITHOUT CONSIDERING THAT WITHOUT LEARNING THERE IS NO DEVELOPMENT IN ANY ASPECT.

We lack learning capacity, we lack wanting to learn and dedicate ourselves with passion to the WONDERFUL ACT OF LEARNING !!!

What we learn and develop ARE OUR TRUE PERSONAL HERITAGE, which we should defend even more vehemently than upon admission.
