How to minimize professional risks

How good it is to feel healthy, full of vitality and prepared to face any adversity that comes our way. Trying not to suffer accidents both in our workplace and in our daily transfer, is an objective that all of us must seek and it is something that companies must take into account in order not to suffer from a possible "headache"

For a person, having an accident can become an undesirable experience if it has been serious and in addition to their own suffering, there is that of the family and other acquaintances. Added to this is the fear of possibly losing a job, carrying high expenses or being permanently injured.

If, for example, the loss occurs in a very small company, it could face an economic crisis since it does not have the necessary resources to cover any eventuality. But as we said before, the worst part is the one that cannot be compensated with money, such as the suffering of an employee or that of her family.

Among the expenses that a company must incur are that of paying for work not performed, medicines, hospital bills, compensation, repair of damaged machines or equipment, etc., not to mention that there may be a drop in production and for therefore in the quality of work.

Likewise, when an incident occurs, a person must be found to replace the person who suffered the accident, so that possible substitute candidates must be sought and trained without having planned anything, since accidents arrive without warning.

Publicly, the image of the company may be deteriorated since it will be recognized as a company that has not had the intention of promoting safety to its employees and in terms of hygiene and health it will be very badly placed compared to its competitors.

The great challenge is to fight for the minimization of poor safety and hygiene conditions and to prevent possible accidents that may arise, with special emphasis on doing the job with all the necessary guarantees and in a favorable environment for its development. The programs that are implemented for health and safety will be those that will allow that in the future there will be no incidents of any kind with risks that can include up to death.

Both employees and employers must agree to implement excellent measures that lead to no inconvenience. To prevent rather than regret, the ideal is to always obey the program to be implemented.

It is useless to have the latest in security if an employee ignores the recommendations made to him, putting his health and those of his coworkers at risk, who must collaborate so that everything follows its optimal course.

Undoubtedly, some companies need to pay more attention to disaster prevention than others. Those whose employees operate machines, are exposed to toxic substances, etc., must strive to ensure that nothing bad happens to their workers. However, it is best that they all do so to avoid possible regrets.

Finally, we must not forget that in many accidents, money does not solve everything. There are difficult moral consequences to erase, but they can be prevented if a good program aimed at improving health and a good business environment is adopted well and efficiently.
