How to promote your business to get more clients

When you start a business, one of the most challenging parts is effective customer search. Especially in the first months, there are many worries that linger in your head: why do I have few orders? Why do I have hardly any subscribers? Why don't leads become customers?

If there is something wrong with your business, it is best to draw up a new strategy and review what you have done wrong so far, only then can you advance.

Years ago, the way in which companies promoted themselves was through radio, press or television advertising, which was a great expense and was impractical, since it was a small group of people who ended up buying the product. Currently, technology has been a breakthrough in this field, since it is much easier to reach the customer and it is much cheaper.

A very common mistake that I have observed is that people create a web page, something that is vitally important to publicize your product, but without having previously studied who their target audience is. Error. The first step to take is to identify your ideal customer: what are their needs, their socio-demographic profile, why they will buy your products and not that of the competition, where they are (if they are on social networks, forums, events).

The next step will be the creation of the website. Being present online means immediacy, your client, without having to leave home, will be able to visit your store, see your products and be interested in them. If you want to promote your online store, your website will be the showcase and the means by which you will attract customers. Ideally, the products or services that you offer would appear in the lateral columns of the website and, by clicking on them, redirect users to a page where you announce everything you offer. And of course, you can't forget to put a visible and effective contact form (a contact form would be a good option) to connect and exchange ideas with your future client.

In addition to these tips, I propose other strategies that will help you get more clients:

1. Free samples

For a person to comment on your product, they will have to try it. In this way, if they like it, they can buy it and speak well of your product, either through word of mouth, promoting yourself on social networks or talking about you on a blog. Remember that the best marketing tool is your clients.

2. Business cards

These will be your cover letter and they will not cost you too much. Business cards must be professional, creative, and legible. If you are good at designing, you could do it yourself, although there are many companies dedicated exclusively to that and at a good price. Once you have them ready, distribute them to all your possible clients, your friends, and owners of establishments to leave them in their premises and that their clients take them.

3. Social networks

Using social networks you will be able to attract more audience and sales to your business, publishing interesting content for your fans, offering free advice, responding to your fans and asking influencers to spread your information or recommend you on their blogs. In this way, you can reach users who can meet the profile of your ideal client.

4. Discounts

One way to ensure that people test what you offer is by offering discounts or vouchers the first few days of opening a business. If they liked it, they will come back and promote you. It is important to offer them special treatment and try to build loyalty.

5. Networking

If what you want is to promote yourself and expand your network of contacts for more business opportunities, networking is the solution. The main basis of networking is to build relationships with people in your professional environment who want to do business with you or with whom you can do it in the future. Take advantage of these meetings to sell yourself indirectly, offer your business card, make yourself known and earn everyone's trust.
