The human resource is a factor determinant in companies for achieving results, therefore always looking to have the best talent, the most trained and better attitude towards work, the latter being sometimes for some more important leaders than capabilities or even academic level.

In order to have greater, better control and organization of this resource, it is important to have an Organization Chart that establishes the relationships of the personnel, by area and by level of authority and responsibility, regardless of the size of the company. It is very important that all members know about it so that they can establish work dynamics, respecting hierarchies, levels of command and specific functions. This will allow establishing work teams by discipline and also generate cross-sectional work.

The above must be complemented by the Job Analysis, which is made up of 2 documents; the Job Description that takes into account the needs of the area and the company in general, indicating; the mission, activities, main functions, working conditions, specific objectives, operating environment, hierarchical level, authority and responsibility within the organization so that all members can understand it, and the Job Profile, which must include the characteristics, abilities, specific areas and knowledge, work experience, level of education, etc. What the person has to cover to be able to occupy that place.

An important point is to make the profile according to the real needs of the position and the company and not to the person who covers it at that time, in order to be able to really analyze the feasibility of the person in that position and if required carry out movements or a training plan for their development.

Taking into account the above, we can advance in the Talent Management process, with Recruitment and Selection, for which certain steps must be followed with well-established criteria, using all possible tools that allow making the best decision with elements that have a sustenance, since the good performance of the area in which the person is involved and of the entire company depends on it.

As the first step that is Recruitment, the position to be filled is well defined, establishing the profile and a call is made by different media, newspapers, job boards, posters, etc. Indicating the basic characteristics and with it, several candidates are approaching, thus achieving a considerable database to compare the qualities of each one.

The Selection is then carried out, the purpose of which is to choose the most suitable candidates for the position of the company and the most suitable candidate is not always the one with the best qualifications.

“Adequate” means that it allows the fulfillment in the performance of his position and the development of his abilities and potentialities in order to make him more satisfactory to himself and to the community in which he operates to contribute, in this way, to the purposes of organization.

For the selection process, some steps are followed and several methodologies can be chosen; first the application review, after interviews no longer directed, in-depth or standardized, it is important to research references to corroborate some data, some psychometric tests that may be of aptitude, ability and temperament. Perform a medical examination or request that you present a health certificate issued by an institution.

After the candidate has been chosen, a last meeting is held to fine-tune details of employment, hours, responsibilities, working conditions, salary negotiation if it can be carried out and then the hiring is carried out.

With this we conclude that it is very important that as a first step for talent management, they dedicate the necessary time to develop and establish personnel requirements, analyzing all factors in order to achieve the efficiency and effectiveness that their organization and their customers demand.
