Surely, more than once you have heard this term and it has bothered you in such a way that you have decided not to continue listening or reading what they were saying about it. It can be possible; It has a fairly technical name and, for some reason, makes us think of exhibitors, trainings and never-ending talks.

I must confess that at first I was also prey to these unpleasant sensations, but as I found out what it was really about, I became increasingly interested, and I discovered that its practice can radically change our lives. So I would like to share with you a little of what I discovered about personal coaching, or the art of training our minds.

The term “personal coaching” was coined in the USA, in the sports field and, fully translated, it means “personal training”. This is key, since it is precisely what we have to do if we want to achieve well-being in our lives: TRAIN. This does not mean that we have to go for a run every morning, do a number of exercises with weights or go around the Olympic pool four times every day; What we have to train is OUR MIND. A mind that does not exercise, or is not willing to do so, can never go outside its parameters and, therefore, can never lead us towards happiness and well-being.
