Competition in the company for labor development

Anonim

Competition is seen by many as being less ethical, by stimulating a fight that will allow only the best to be selected. The unethical thing is not the attitudes of the competitors, but the tendency to look more at others than at oneself, because that prevents knowing and improving oneself, and because the main tools to succeed will come from each protagonist and not from their opponents.

The continuous search for success that for many appears to be the solution to all their problems, has made competition within companies synonymous with capacity and effectiveness.

So whoever wants to stay within that market as a recognized labor product or resource must be competitive.

However, although today all those who work on the job, inside or outside a company, recognize the benefits of competition, many consider that competing leads people to be less ethical, by stimulating a fight that in the case of Being internal, within an organization, will allow selecting only those who show themselves to be the best; And if it is with other companies, it will encourage the development of the least scrupulous, since in the jungle of the market, that is the most effective technique to survive.

Competition is a tool for individual and group improvement, which allows the development of human resources to integrate them into the possibilities of their environment and thus be able to obtain the best mutual benefit from this complement.

At the individual level, it is effective insofar as each one competes mainly with himself, because the basis and reference of his overcoming is oneself, who is the one who must progress. In this sense, we must not forget that we are competent to the extent that we differentiate ourselves by achieving effective achievements, and the origin of these achievements is the improvement of our personal qualities.

Assuming that others, as is often believed, are the reference to overcome, leads to rival the environment and that means, in addition to developing based on the qualities of the other, ignoring their own, not integrating as an unmatched human resource, with their capacities and limitations, to the needs of reality, considering that this is an essential condition to be able to overcome and compete effectively.

It is important to note that continually competing to succeed leads to confusing the rival with reality, forgetting that one's main adversary is the difficulty in overcoming.

The really unethical thing about competing is not the supposed attitudes of the competitors, but the tendency to look more towards others than towards oneself, because that prevents knowing and improving oneself, and because the main tools to succeed in any competition will come from each protagonist. and not from your potential opponents.

Competition within a work team is synonymous with integration of potentialities, where the protagonist is joint success and not the apparent importance of the roles of its members.

The fact of competing in any activity is not intended to rule out the least fit leaving them aside, since that would be unethical and ineffective.

The objective of the competition is simply to stimulate the best use of the qualities of each individual so that they are coherently integrated into their environment. For this reason, encouraging competition is simply guiding the development and use of available human and material resources, since this enables effective competition.
