Introduction

Currently, all companies or organizations exist only when benefits are obtained, since without these companies or organizations would not have the ability to develop, grow and therefore could not compete in the market or simply against another organization that their development. be within the same turn. Therefore, in order to achieve the development and growth of companies, it is essential to establish the appropriate procedures to achieve the objectives.

Every company is every economic and social unit that is always for profit, is systematically coordinated with natural resources, capital, technology, work, management and individuals, with the main purpose of carrying out production. to a socially useful point considering the demands of forming a common good.

To this day, without exception, organizations are facing this world, where there are cases of materials and other resources, considering that this problem has been increasing due to technological changes that lead to the automation of companies. Little by little, forcing employers to make improvements in the administrative techniques with which they manage the resources of the company or organization.

Through the development of the topic "Engineering in business management" we will know the importance of business management and the administration of resources, which in this changing environment, for organizations work as an excellent aid in their growth and has increase their competitiveness.

1. Conceptualization

1.1 Engineering

It is the set of knowledge of the always scientific techniques, which are applied to the invention, development, improvement and use of different industrial and organizational resources in each of its different aspects, including the solution and optimization of problems, the search of the various areas of opportunity that influence the daily life of people and the constitution of the basis for the development of modern societies.

1.2 Management

As already mentioned, in the engineering concept, management also influences daily life and is supported and works through the people or group of people who generate good results, which lead to the achievement of the objectives. Management allows people to assume command within organizations or simply little by little positions of greater responsibility, which at the same time allows searching for new options to improve.

1.3 Administration

Managing is something so normal and common in the human being, since its immemorial times, it has had the need to count, classify and use resources appropriately in order to survive. The word administration is derived from the Latin "Ad" which means Path or Direction and "Minister" which means to obey or subordinate, that is, to administer is the effect of carrying out a task, resource or work by orders of a superior. (RealAcademia, 1992)

The concept:

The process of planning, organizing, integrating, directing and controlling the resources (intellectual, human, material, financial, among others) of an organization, in order to obtain the maximum benefit or achieve its objectives. ”(Chiavenato, 2006)

This term has gone through various changes throughout the history of humanity, until it came to be considered as a process of designing and making the environment a better place, in which, when working together with others, individuals fulfill certain specific objectives.

1.4 The company as an organization

This term organization can be basically referred to as follows:

  • The word organization is commonly used to refer to the act of organizing. (Rutinel, 1997) The term organization refers to that system designed to satisfactorily achieve certain objectives or goals, while these systems may, in turn, be made up of other related subsystems that fulfill specific functions. (AMITAI, 1975)

At this time we are interested in approaching the company as an organization, therefore it is necessary to mention that:

Organization is a group of people who work together to achieve a common purpose, guided by rules, methods and principles developed by themselves. (DUBRIN, 2003).

In other words, the organization can be any social group, made up or made up of people, a set of tasks and adequate administration, all in turn interacting within the framework of a systemic structure with a single goal, that of fulfilling certain proposed objectives.

There is a fundamental reason why organizations exist and this is that through them, the person's own limitations can be overcome, by benefiting from the efforts and capacities of the group of people who make up the organization.

The organization is made up of four elements:

  • A goal Personal and material elements The direction The division of labor

It should be mentioned that the company is always defined as a for-profit organization. Where we can say that profit is the material and / or economic benefit that is generated from starting a business, and although there are non-profit companies, you always get a profit.

Every company must establish a complete system, in which all factors of production, financing and adequate marketing are coordinated in order to successfully achieve the established objectives.

The company must have the following characteristics:

  • Production factors: elements necessary to produce (work, machinery, etc.). Financing factors: the financial resources to make investments and marketing, or the marketing resources to sell. Objectives: purposes for which the company has created the plant. It would be the maximization of the company. Factors that make up the company and coordinate to achieve its goal: Without such coordination, the company would not exist since the coordination is carried out by the administration or management of the company. The Management plans the achievement of the objectives, organizes the factors, is in charge of the decisions being executed and controls the possible deviations between the results obtained and the desired ones. (FERRER, 2002)

2. Engineering in business management

Taking into account the points seen before this topic, we define business management engineering as the most important human activity at the business level that allows the planning, organization, management and control of an organization, taking into account that it will always be in groups of people (directors, managers, employees, and other people participating within the organization) who have the ability to improve the production and competence of the organization, with the use of scientific techniques and methodologies used by engineering.

At present, all companies must bear in mind that business management is what forces every organization to always be at the forefront of innovations in order to remain within the competition with the aim of becoming the best and having the tools to a good development in the organizational environment that is becoming more complex every day.

2.1 Main functions

Business management engineering identifies four functions, which become the basis for its creation within the organization, are the following:

  • Planning: It is carried out mainly to combine the organization's resources in order to visualize the projects that are intended based on the company's own objectives that are profitable for the organization. In other words, it is to see the entire company globally and its corresponding environment, see its needs and make the right decisions to make good use of the company's resources and determine, if not the best path, an appropriate path that will lead to the company to achieve the objectives set.Organization: is in which all the resources that the company has are grouped, making them work together in an orderly and coordinated way in order to obtain a better use of them and thus increase the possibilities of obtaining bigger and better results. It is the direction of the company, which, from the point of view of business management engineering, involves one of the essential points that determines the success or failure of an organization, communication. Communication by senior managers with employees arises from the need to create a comfortable and adequate work environment in an organization, thereby increasing the efficiency of the work of employees and the competitiveness of a company. the fourth and final function of business management, which evaluates, quantifies and improves the progress of employees in the organization according to the objectives that had been originally proposed. From the point of view of business management engineering it involves one of the essential points that determines the success or failure of an organization, communication. Taking into account these functions, they provide the organization with the possibility of performing in the market, the management process in the company is not independent, all the processes are interrelated. (Arias, 2012)

conclusion

With this issue, we were able to conclude that there is no company that survives without management, since it is essential and a base, so that all the efforts of the group of people that make up the organization achieve their common objectives. Today we can say that anything but management is equivalent to nothing.

Therefore, of all the areas that make up human activity, there is no one of greater importance than management, since its objective is only carried out with it, and that is to do things through others.

It is for the above that business management engineering is always identified as the tool that improves the daily lives of the people or groups of people that make up an organization.

Before, the importance of business management was not taken, but over the years it was shown that an organization does not have growth if proper management is not carried out. Business management engineering is everything within organizations, basically a group activity since only in groups of people with a common and specific purpose, it is possible to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
