The fear that invades us when facing the job search and the insecurity of a future of unemployment confronts us with these uncertainties:

  • Lack of personality to face an employer or interview Lack of spirit and desire to work.

Looking for a job means being well presented, well groomed, short hair, well shaved. Our presentation must go according to the intended work.

This presentation together with the curriculum that is our history, is a first step to evaluate your possibilities of working in the organization.

You should then prepare mentally and physically for the interview considering all the details for the best presentation.

The specific topics listed here will help you succeed and face a future of prosperity.

When we face the reality of having to look for a job we encounter some disadvantages and obstacles. The most common are:

1. High unemployment rate

2. Lack of personal preparation. Every day the need for people with specialized studies increases.

3. Lack of experience or contact with the Labor Market.

4. The competition (many people and few opportunities)

5. Age, we know that between 40 and 60 years it is much more difficult to find a good job.

6. Lack of personality to face an employer or interview

7. Lack of encouragement and desire to work.

8. Very high claims.

9. Labor prejudices, rejecting job opportunities because they consider that they do not measure up to our preparation.

But the most important factor is attitude, which means trusting yourself, thinking and believing that the job you are looking for is available, what we have to do is work until we find it.

To find a job there is a plan:

  • I must know what I am looking for I must know what I can do I must know what I am for

Once you have asked these questions, make a list of the activities or trades you can do. This way you will be clear about the type of work you can do immediately and smoothly.

Looking for a job means working 8 hours a day to find it.

Planning:

Getting up early, the reason is that job offers occur in the early morning hours.

Grooming, making a good impression is important. It means looking for a job well presented, well groomed, short hair, well shaved. Our presentation must go according to the intended work. If it is an office job it will require a tie, if it is for services we will dress less formal, which does not mean we do not care

How to prepare to find a job:

1. Promote yourself personally, means that the person who is out of work must go to sources of work, related to their activity or their work area.

2. Send the famous curriculum vitae, this is a document through which we disclose to a potential employer our qualifications and work experiences. This document specifically asks:

a) Who are you?

b) How it can be located.

c) What are your studies. Attach a copy of certificates.

d) What experience do you have. What services did it provide and what did it obtain?

c) What kind of job are you looking for? Services that you can provide.

This document must be well prepared to make a good impression, it must be accurate in the information. It should be easy to read. If necessary, it can be accompanied by a handwritten letter.

Once our Curriculum is written, we must start sending it to all notices related to our specialty and even to places that may need our services in the Future.

Arranging interviews by phone, there is a new modality regarding the notices that appear in the press, many of them say: request an interview from a certain number, which means avoiding the crowd of people waiting for a possibility, and at the same time they are going to attend to a certain time, with greater prospects for work since they will contact their potential Employer directly.

Of these three possible ways of looking for work (they are not the only ones) the most effective of all is the first, where you go personally to the source of work. This denotes the candidate's interest and responsibility for the Job. Recall that the employer to hire a person looks at these two characteristics.

Try to decide what you want. Make a list of occupations that fit your field of preparation and experience and start by being flexible, if it is not one thing it may be another.

Recommendations for a possible interview:

1. Try to be rested before going to the interview in order to make a good impression and be well-disposed.

2. Try to know as much as possible regarding the place where you want to work as well as the name of the person with whom you are going to speak.

3. Bring your documents and a copy of your Curriculum, in order to easily fill out the employment form.

4. Have a pencil or pen handy to fill out the necessary papers.

5. It is better to go alone to the interviews. Don't give the impression that you need to be guided.

6. In case you have an interview set at a certain time, remember that you are going to talk to a very busy person. Don't be late.

7. If you have to wait a long time, do it patiently. Do not walk around the room, your actions can be observed.

During the Interview

1. When addressing the interviewer, do it courteously, calling him sir and adding the name, if you know it.

2. Sit properly and stay calm.

3. The impression that your future employer will receive is very important, treat it with confidence and security.

4. Show no interest in phone conversations or the material on the table.

5. Try to show your strengths, but be sure to lightly allude to your weaknesses or any limitations you judge to have.

6. It is important that you demonstrate that you know how to listen but do not hesitate to ask questions.

7. Let the employer conduct the interview, don't talk too much but don't overdo the silence either so that the employer doesn't have to rip the information off of you.

8. Don't say that you can do anything. Ask for a specific job, according to the area you master.

9. Don't appeal to sentimentality, talking about your personal difficulties.

10. Avoid giving the impression that you are interested in salary only.

11. If you are asked to fill out a job application, do so promptly with precision and cleanliness.

12. If it is clear that the interview is over, do not continue to take up the employer's time.

13. After the interview send a thank you letter is something that almost nobody does and makes a very good impression.

In employment:

• If you are employed accept all responsibilities from the beginning.

• Be Punctual.

• Avoid missing work

• Have initiative, start necessary work even before you are asked to do it, so you will progress.

• Your success in employment depends on the ability to work with others. Pay special attention to this point. (Fellowship)

Gold rules:

Keep a positive attitude, think and believe that the job you are looking for is available.

"Work" as long as necessary until you find it.

Prepare mentally and physically for the interview.

If you are interested in the job you should pursue it after the interview, your follow-up is as important as your initial contact, use personal visits, letters and phone calls.

Keep the employer's interest in you!
