A brief approach to the need for historical training of Education professionals.

The social function performed by the teacher in Cuban society is reinforced every day, more. Within his activity as a professional educator, the work of instructing and educating current and new generations stands out. For this, the transmission of the cultural legacy of our society is of vital importance, where the teaching of the contents of Cuban History and Local History undoubtedly play a significant role.

The contents of Local History and the History of Cuba are a basic component of humanistic and political training. Its contents are carriers of the traditions of the Cuban people, their culture and identity. She allows us to understand where we come from, who we are and where we are going.

The study of historical personalities, processes, and contextual situations allow us to understand the greatness of this people, as well as the meaning of unity and the principles of the revolutionary process in which we participate (Noda, 2015)

The History discipline is committed to the historical education of students, which as we will see in this course implies that they assimilate the universal and national historical knowledge, the development of historical thought, the formation of norms, attitudes and values in correspondence with the social model in that live (Palomo, A., et. al., 2007).

One of the problems that local history goes through, beyond the methods and the actual updating of the contents by the teacher who teaches it, is the lack of bibliography, for both teachers and students.

In this sense, new technologies can greatly contribute to solving this difficulty. This is the case of the multimedia that is presented which has biographies of local martyrs, the local history book, documentary videos, view of objects from the local museum, as well as the symbols of the locality.

The advantages of the reproduction of image and sound, and other resources, make the multimedia meet the didactic requirements to become a viable means of teaching in the study of local history.

Brief description of the Multimedia.

The same is made in Mediator, occupies a disk space of 757 MB. It is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 7, 8 and 10. Therefore, it is easy to transport on mobile devices.

Its design has been tested with third grade elementary school students, such as the lower user limit, and has been easily accessible. The cover features highly distinctive elements of local history. Among them, the cover of the Hoyo de Monterrey, the Shield of San Juan, a photo of Luís and Sergio Saíz Montes de Oca, the church of San Juan, the only surviving building of the burning of San Juan made by the residents who preferred to burn the town, before handing it over to the Spanish. In addition, a dry tobacco leaf is presented as an expression of the agricultural activity that distinguishes the municipality as the Land of the Best Tobacco in the World.

As can be seen on the cover there are seven links that facilitate multimedia navigation. They are:

The shield was approved on July 15, 1937 by the Municipal Chamber. It was made by Dr. Luis R. Saíz Delgado, taking Professor Fany Llevada to the canvas.

In its two lower thirds, in the first place, the Shield of the Province‖, the pine forests on the banks of the Guamá river and in the distance the Cerro de Cabras; On the right, a tobacco plantation, the house to cure it, the royal palm; and, at a distance, the Ratones hill, all represented in its natural colors.

At the center of the coat of arms emerges a bundle signifying the union of all the peoples of Cuba, and surrounding it, two flowering tobacco bushes, whose extreme stems are joined at the bottom of the bundle by means of a ribbon bearing this sign: From my tobacco the Fame, the entire Orb Proclaims.
