Deconstruction of thought

Anonim

This essay shows the most important aspects considered about " deconstruction ", it is a type of thinking that critically criticizes, analyzes and revises words and their concepts.

Deconstructivist discourse highlights the incapacity of philosophy to establish stable thinking. It is important to let you know through this essay that the main author on the contextualization of “ deconstruction ” is Derrida, in which he states that “it consists in showing how any concept has been constructed from historical processes and metaphorical accumulations (hence the name of deconstruction), showing that what is clear and evident is far from it.

Since the tools of consciousness in which what is true in itself must be given are historical, relative and subject to the paradoxes of the rhetorical figures of the metaphor.

For a better grasp of the definition of the context about Deconstruction we will define a series of main words and ideas that it is important to understand before digesting the ideas according to Derrida:

  • Metaphysical.- Word used to describe systems that require a fixed base, a first principle on which a hierarchical meaning can be built. Supplement.- Word of secondary importance in the hierarchical relationship of two words. For example: man / woman. Man is presence, and in the absence of man, there is woman, that is, woman is the hollow of what man is not. Derrida says that the supplement is not of secondary importance, because it can undermine the hierarchical relationship. Logocentrism.- Word invented by Derrida to describe the metaphysical system that accepts writing as secondary, or supplementary to speech. Derrida does not agree with this. He says that writing, which is accepted in logocentrism as imitation of speech, can express ideas more perfectly than speech, thus undermining the hierarchical relationship. Aporia.- The gap between the philosophical and linguistic coherence of a text, and the contradictions and subversive paradoxes that undermine such coherence. This means that a text cannot be decided, thus destroying the system or the structure that traditionally defines it. Impossibility to decide.- the inability to choose between contradictory meanings. Derrida quotes the word HYMEN that represents marriage and sexual union, and at the same time means the membrane that prevents this union. Derrida says that one of these meanings cannot be accepted without the other. Differance.- Word invented by Derrida that refers to the two simultaneous meanings of the French verb differer. This verb corresponds to the Spanish verb difer: dilatar, delay or suspend the execution of a thing; distinguish one thing from another or be different and of different or contrary qualities.

I consider these words that were taken up as keys to this essay of utmost importance as I consider that it helps us to better understand the concept of Deconstruction, although it is a little difficult to understand since it breaks with all the schemes and systems that we have about definitions, concepts that have taught us at different times in our lives.

Another important character within the concept of Deconstruction was Martin Heidegger, who was not completely convinced about what Derrida was saying, since he said that the traditional Western philosophy (Platonic-Hegelian) had always presupposed a scenario of systematic rationality, a domain of speech about writing a world ultimately where everything makes sense.

Deconstruction will rebel against this abuse of the Hegelian rationality of inheritance, proposing precisely the opposite: the impossibility that literary texts have the least sense.

Personally I do not share the idea with this author since, as Derrida says, Deconstruction breaks with all schemes and systems and I understand in the best way that this is how it should be, since you must break with all the information you have on a concept, in order to have the power to reformulate a series of concepts until you can reconstruct a new concept that is attached to the reality of today.

Another author who I consider equally of the most important on the subject of deconstruction is John Searle, he never agreed with Derrida, he said that his works were philosophical waste, the ruins of philosophy, he stated that works as tolerable could not be tolerated. few cares, so lightly, also said that they manage to publish why they did not go directly to the competent philosophers.

He said that other types of people inclined to other disciplines were inclined, such as literary theory, he expressed and thinks that we should not do our work in such a closed way, we should open ourselves to all other ideas.

He also said that Derrida used the terrorist obscurantism method which consisted of everything he writes, he speaks in an obscure way where one cannot interpret what he is speaking, because he can never, never be understood and when one He manages to criticize what he is saying, he immediately insults you that you are an idiot that you do not understand, this is the terrorist part.

I want you to know, readers, that I will spend it referring to this article on jacques derrida because he is the founder of the word deconstruction and that is how he managed to facilitate a little more the work of understanding hoping that they would achieve their own criteria.

To conclude, I hope you will allow me to comment on an example given by a professor, Dr. Mario Cedillo, in my class on legal research techniques, which personally served me too much to be able to fully understand the issue of deconstruction.

I was in the second session of the master's degree in tax law, when the doctor introduced us to the topic of deconstruction, he immediately filled us with information and it was incredible how we were looking at each other and we understood absolutely nothing, it was a topic that nobody I'd had a chance to have heard it before.

The doctor immediately cites an example of how tax law has evolved as well as the law, to have undergone its transformations, changes, modifications over time, in the same way he gives us information on how the concepts of people have undergone changes They are registered with the Secretary of the Treasury, first they were called causers, currently they are called taxpayers and within their class they present us with a structure, a new concept of deconstruction where they call taxpayers, clients and create great confusion within from the classroom, the doctor begins to explain to us in detail and I absolutely agree with him, because he said that because the Mexican system was failing, people did not want to pay because it was tedious,it receives a bad treatment from the bureaucrats in all the government dependencies that is where the taxpayers must be called clients and treated as such, with respect, honesty, attention, etc.

And in this way there will be changes in government systems as private initiative works. With this it is tries to explain that the concepts that we manage must be changed as we change, we evolve in the same way they must be changing the concepts reciprocally.

In conclusion, Deconstruction goes further by postulating that the intention of the message derived from this article may be radically different.

In the 80s and 90s, deconstruction was one of the best known methods, studied and cultivated by literary critic. Although it has not taken root in most of the schools, in the cultural centers, the most active vocabulary in these years was precisely the deconstructionists, with different voices and concepts.

That is why I try to get this information to all possible people so that they can have a good concept of deconstruction. We must change just as the world changes. We cannot be subject to the laws, to the principles of a hundred years ago, if the People change everything should be changing constantly and adapt them to the circumstances of today.
