Introduction
In the different organizations, these being small, medium and even large companies have a series of resources at their disposal, without these as these could not persist, such as: people, raw materials, etc. Carry out the process of administrative practices for the management of vitally important resources, since this ensures proper management of these.
With a good administration and management of resources, companies or organizations will be able to achieve the objectives and goals that are set every day, in order to increase as such and provide the best services to the public. It is worth mentioning that to have an efficient task not only implies delivering products or services in a timely manner, as well as with quality characteristics, but it is also necessary that the result of the processes carried out has been obtained with a minimum of resources.
In the following research work, the topic of resource optimization will be addressed, where it will be revealed what this method consists of, among other characteristics.

The word optimization is used to get a task done quickly. Such optimization is performed with respect to one or more resources.
Means
It is everything productive, necessary to carry out an activity, for example: labor, equipment and tools.
So we can define optimization of resources as one of the best way to carry out an activity with the help of using it with the minimum of resources. It will have the objective of treating and adapting the available resources, so as to ensure the correct use of the resource as well as improve its effectiveness.3
For this, a methodology such as:
- Determine objectives Analyze needs and prioritize Define activities Define tools to use
In order for this process to be obtained
- Increase in productivity Improve customer service Flexibility to adapt resources with respect to work Level the demand in different service areas Reduce costs
Optimizing resources is mainly about efficiency, that is, using resources in the best possible way, which is expected to obtain greater benefits with a minimum of costs. Both efficiency and effectiveness are very important as they are related in addition to emphasizing results, goals as well as value creation. Therefore, to optimize resources, it should not only be efficient but also effective.
Optimization of resources in food services
In the case of an establishment with food services, the purchasing resources could be optimized, for example: where the purchases, the suppliers and the possible negotiation with them were analyzed, in order to develop a strategy for purchases, adapting the needs.
Among the points that can be considered in the optimization of purchases are for example:
- Creation and analysis of indicators: where indicators will be created on your purchases, sales, etc., to discover possible improvements. Delivery deadlines: delivery times are negotiated with suppliers to better adapt to production and improve profitability. Negotiation price, payment methods and quantities with suppliers. Computerization of purchases: the most appropriate applications will be sought. Define the real needs and seek to obtain the best option in terms of quality, need and price.
In organizations and / or companies, it is highlighted that one of the most precious resources is time, which is intangible and manageable, highlighting that it is limited and unrecoverable, so it is essential to keep in mind the conditions that allow its optimization.
In the companies that provide food services, they seek to maintain continuous improvement of their resources and processes, as well as to manage their services with quality.
ISO 9001: 2000
Indicates that an organization or company must provide the necessary resources to:
- Implement and maintain a Quality Management System and continuously improve efficiency, as well as increase customer satisfaction.
Regarding resources, the standard refers to people who are trained to carry out the work, as well as adequate buildings and land, equipment and machines, consumable raw materials and spare parts, suppliers, etc. All of these must be managed effectively.

Information
It is pointed out that the information must be treated as a resource, which must be used as an instrument for the improvement process and decision-making.
How to properly manage the information?
To properly manage the information, the following must be taken into account:
- Determine the information needs of the organization. Identify and access both internal and external sources of information. Convert information into useful knowledge. Use information, data and knowledge to meet strategies and objectives.
The relationship with suppliers
Management is in charge of optimizing the number of suppliers, as well as maintaining a good relationship that allows communication to be established and also to solve problems quickly and efficiently. 6
A continuous review of the activities that are carried out by the suppliers must also be carried out, guiding them towards continuous improvement, evaluating, recognizing and rewarding their efforts and achievements. 6
Natural resources
Organizations should be aware of natural resources as these can also impact results.
Financial resources
The control of this, as well as the administration, must be managed by the management to achieve the objectives that have been proposed.
Human Resources
Human resources is one of the most important resources that organizations have, since the proper functioning of the management system largely depends on them. It should be noted that those who have adequate training and who are able to adapt to the tasks assigned to them should be selected, as well as the rest of the members who are part of the organization.
That the staff of a company or organization is considered suitable to carry out a certain activity in their job depends on three factors:
- Adequate selection for each one of the activities carried out in it. Having the necessary training in the characteristics that are carried out in it. As well as receiving sufficient motivation so that this reflects it in your work design.
Enterprise resource optimization
Optimization in this case refers to providing companies with the best way to use their resources to get what they want.
The following resources are considered in the business environment; in addition to human resources are:
Economic Resources.- It is the means that allows to resolve unforeseen events that may arise in commercial or productive activity.
Financial Resources.- Refers to the circulation of money, assets and patrimony, and is made up of bank balances, cash, bank deposits, stocks, bonds, etc. 7
Technological Resources.- These can be tangible (for example hardware) and intangible (such as software). They help develop the daily operations of production, as well as marketing and communication.
Material Resources.- These are the tangible ones such as the land, the machinery, the facilities and the raw material.
Optimize in different areas
Optimizing means better management of resources depending on the objective.
Optimize in administration
Optimization is focused on improving work processes, increasing performance and productivity.
Optimize in economy
Optimization in this area refers to the process by which the human being tends to find a way to obtain the highest possible yield using the minimum amount of resources, or reducing costs.
Optimize in Computing
In the computing and technology environment, optimization is the process in which efficiency and speed with respect to the operation of a computer system are improved.
Optimize in Mathematics
It is the operation in which it is established which, among a set of elements, is the best available.
Optimization of financial resources
Optimizing resources is based primarily on achieving financial goals that are geared toward providing financial security in the moment, but also in the future.
conclusion
As it has been commented during the development of this work, taking into account the optimization of resources is of vital importance for different institutions or organizations, since this can mainly reduce unnecessary losses of resources that may affect compliance with the objectives that said organization or institution have set.
Since the purpose of the institutions is to provide a better service and obtain profits from it, the optimization of the resources should be considered since, as we have previously mentioned, having an efficient task does not only mean delivering products or services in a timely manner with the quality characteristics if not that it is necessary that the result of the processes that were carried out has been obtained with a minimum of resources.
