The autonomous university of Chiapas was born by decree of the state legislature, on October 23, 1974, due to the need to have an institution that governs the academic life of the State, and not with the legal nature of a decentralized body and public, Autonomous, in the public interest, with legal personality and own patrimony, at the service of the interests of the Nation and the State, as support for the principles of freedom of teaching and research, that is, full autonomy was granted within the limits of the law of its creation and for the purposes indicated therein.
The main fundamental legal characteristic of said law of university autonomy consists in the faculty that the university has to govern itself and supports the freedom of teaching and research of academic personnel in the development of programs and plans based on the law that issue the legislative branch of the State, the only constitutional political body that is responsible for the legislative function at the local level.

In the same way, article 51 is related, these articles are related because they are rules that we must know as an applicant to enter the university, these articles govern the form of the process to be accepted; Only those who have completed high school studies in the State of Chiapas may be enrolled as University students.
Meanwhile in article 54 ° "To enter the University schools, applicants must be selected through an entry contest on general and basic high school knowledge." Applicants who are selected in the previous contest will have the right to take the special knowledge exams of the schools to which they apply, according to the corresponding regulations, to continue with the registration, only in this way will they be able to join the student groups. The diagnostic or examination contest is carried out by the academic secretary of the university.
Chapter XV of the incentives and university discipline, article 57 and 58 The University will promote incentives and distinctions for students for their use and good conduct.
The University will grant the following incentives:

Another of the rights that students have within the university is to be part of the university council, as one more member of this organization, they form a team with a director, rector, two professors (one from the career and the other from the subject) and a student from each bachelor's degree that covers the fifth semester to the last semester, a member of the administrative staff and a researcher as well as marks chapter VI of the organic law of the university.

In part, the students who are part of the technical council must meet the requirements similar to that of the university council; You must be a regular student, where you do not owe any previous subject, have at least 90% attendance and have not committed serious offenses that affect the integrity of the university in general.
