Conclusions

The information professional at the CIIQ is not only a hoarder, disseminator and custodian of documents, but also an information manager, promoter and component of the production chain of knowledge generation.

The CIIQ's corporate purpose does not include the Scientific-Information Activity as an intangible asset with added value in support of the rest of the services offered by the Center, an aspect that does not allow offering a price portfolio of services / products to users. / external clients.

Having a Web page will contribute to the dissemination of the services / products offered.

Having bibliographic and full-text databases accessible to all users / clients will favor the management of information, knowledge and innovation.

The application of new information and communication technologies are fundamental pillars for the best use of information resources.

The number of members that make up the Scientific-Technical Information Group is insufficient to objectively tackle the new challenges of being in an entity that acts as a Research Center and Project Company, which is part of the structure of the Chemical Business Group- QUIMEFA Pharmacist.

recommendations

That the possibility that the Scientific-Informative Activity be contemplated in the corporate purpose of the Center and have a relationship of direct subordination to the Director General, be analyzed and valued by the CIIQ Management, therefore it would be necessary to draw up strategic guidelines that lead to the application of subordination and appropriate location of the ICT Group.

That databases be designed and created that are conceived from all the existing sources of information that are acquired through other institutions, e-mail, the Internet, and those generated at the CIIQ.

That the mechanisms be created so that these databases are available to all the technicians and professionals of the Center (qualified Intranet).

That the possibility of increasing the number of members that make up the Scientific-Technical Information Group be valued, fundamentally with at least one translator and two more university graduates in Library and Information Science.
