Holistic education in the human being

In order to understand the holistic education created by Dr. Ramón Gallegos, I think that the first thing we have to do is an introspection to ourselves, making a diagnosis and by that I mean, that the human being must make an evaluation to get to know himself better. himself no longer gives what he does not have. In order to know oneself, one must observe one's behavior, know what really happens to us and why it happens to us, and thus better understand what happens to us, knowing oneself well implies seeing oneself with all possible objectivity, for this one must bravely reflect on our feelings, avoid blaming others, or saying I am like this, I cannot change, we must accept ourselves as we are, with our history and accept others.

When we receive globally the problems that we have created, we realize that we have evolved enormously in the technological field, but the same has not happened with everything related to human nature. The predatory spirit of man has grown, stimulated mainly by a wrong education, which has only focused on training the brain to act within the routine, producing a mind unable to probe deeply.

In herself. The human being has followed a wrong path and the change of times that we are currently experiencing may be an opportunity to correct the course. The disparity between technological development and internal order represents a serious danger for humanity. The current planetary crisis is based on false ideas about the human being and the world.

In this essay is my spiritual, educational and professional process throughout this Master of Holistic Education, later what the Master meant, which meetings have been memorable, in itself, talking about the spiritual process that was lived during the stay in this master's degree.

To begin by recounting what my experience would be like on this journey with respect to the Master in Holistic Education, first of all, I express that the topics discussed here are current, very deep, subjects with a comprehensive vision of reality. The spiritual meaning that mastery has had for me, is first of all to understand that the spirituality marked here has nothing to do with dogmatic faith, also to realize that in the course of my life I have experienced spiritual moments just that I did not know that As they were called, spirituality is the way we find meaning, hope, relief and inner peace in our lives. Many people find spirituality through religion. Others find it through music, art or a connection with nature, which is my case,When I am in contact with nature I feel integrated, with a lot of peace within me, especially if it is about observing the sea. Lately I practice yoga and meditation, I am more in contact with my inner being, I feel more balanced and peaceful, yoga and meditation are two practices that I hope to follow throughout my life.

Of the meetings I attended, the most memorable of all was at the beginning of the master's degree, that moment I will never forget was in an integration activity, I remember that with our eyes closed we simulated flying, we danced, we moved as we wanted, I felt such a sensation nice to be myself no matter what the others were doing, it was indescribable, I disconnected from all worry, I felt a very beautiful freedom. My inner strengths are my character, my way of seeing life, I consider myself a woman with initiative, I am creative and enterprising, intelligent, I am in good health, I consider myself capable of learning many things, I communicate and I interact easily with people. My biggest weakness is deciding, leaving things to the last I don't like doing that and I'm fighting to improve that weakness,Another of my weaknesses is that I get stressed easily, reacting sometimes without thinking or being reactive also cause me problems.

Another fortress that I consider important and I also love to possess is the fortress that I have of appreciation for the beauty of things, of the sun, of the clouds, of the colors of nature, of the brightness of the days, that I translate into love For life I feel that it leads me to feel happiness, another strength is to feel hope and think that things, although sometimes they do not happen as one would like someday to improve, I am optimistic thinking that part of the future depends a lot on ourselves, on our attitudes and of how we perceive life and events.

I have felt the moments of greater spiritual light with the readings of the books of Dr. Ramón Gallegos, with the practice of yoga and meditation, which to date I like to do, I feel more peace, I feel better about myself, I am more happy, more comprehensive.

We need Love as the first ingredient for transformation.

  • Love in our life, love in everything we do, love in our family, love in our work, love, love, love.

Currently, there are various teaching methods that are tailored to the abilities and qualities of each student and to the expectations of teachers' development. Within this diversity is traditional education, which is the one that is taught in most schools and colleges. The traditional system starts from the acquisition of knowledge through the division of learning according to the age of the student. To achieve this increase in skills and knowledge, this system is based on two fundamental axes: the teacher and reference books. Classes have fixed times, with scheduled breaks. Each day classes of different subjects are taught according to the established schedule. The reference books serve as academic support,Generally used to perform various tasks that the teacher entrusts.

The arrangement of the students in the classrooms is linear and everyone should look towards the teacher and the blackboard. There is a maximum limit of absences, the idea is that students acquire the habits of being consistent, responsible with schedules and routines, and that they begin the process of social adaptation with other classmates. For the qualification the teacher keeps track of the progress of each student and also examines them through tests, which in sum give the final grade.

The holistic education created by Dr. Ramón Gallegos is a way of dialogue, a process of mutual meaning creation, an emphasis on the interconnectedness of life on earth, it is the art of cultivating meaningful human relationships, it is built on a relationship spiritual dialogue between students and teachers. Dialogue as a way to generate common shared meanings in holistic education, is a creative process that transcends typical notions about talk and conversation. Dialogue more specifically is a holistic resource that explores the way in which thought is generated and maintained collectively, makes possible the presence of a current of meaning within the group, from which a new understanding can emerge, the shared meaning or intersubjectivity is the binder that sustains the links between people and between societies.

Holistic education is an education for life and throughout life, a permanent meaningful learning, a comprehensive formation to learn the art of living responsibly, intelligently, compassionately.

Holistic education is not limited to being vocational instruction within a formal school period, it is not limited to developing academic intellectual skills during a stage of human life, it does not reduce its concept of intelligence to a logical-mathematical ability, its vision is integrate and is aimed at forming complete human beings, who are individuals who are creatively inserted into society, who are good men, with the ability to raise and maintain a family, a job, have friends, be good parents, good children, good citizens, with the capacity to be happy, compassionate, universal, who can live their full fulfillment, reach their spiritual illumination.

Dr. Ramón Gallegos' holistic education focuses on sustainable development, seeks balance and harmony between development and sustainability, a progress that conserves the planet's natural resources at the same time. Holistic education is an education for peace, it is a path of human fraternity, it promotes the development of the consciousness of harmony, solidarity and cooperation, this is possible because it considers that the essence of life is harmony, not conflict.

"We can no longer remain ignorant of what is happening in the classroom, of what will happen later if we participate."

In teaching practice and little by little involved, the practice of holistic education has not been easy, due to what was said about the mechanistic vision of the universe, but we had to live through the transition period where a mechanistic paradigm is changed To a holistic paradigm, then we must understand that these contradictions are to some extent normal until the holistic view dominates the interpretations of the world and of who we are.

For this I consider important To reach a good self-knowledge this is complicated but not impossible. It is important on this path of knowing oneself, being in favor of who we are, what we need and want. I consider it important to know who we are, what are the inner, emotional and spiritual strengths and weaknesses as a human being, it is important to dedicate small moments of solitude to focus on oneself, this will help to clarify who I am and where I am going.

In this last part I would like to comment that holistic education as it could be seen in the previous summaries is an integrating vision, it does not exclude the past and previous events in the universe, but includes them taking the best of them, it seems that the society's next evolutionary leap will be within ourselves within, to better recognize our true nature, our genuine spirituality that was denied us in past centuries, currently due to the mechanistic vision there are serious problems, many advances have been made technological and with this I do not mean that it is bad to advance technologically, but that the success or failure of this will depend on the use that is given to that technology,There is a huge human inability to intelligently look within ourselves and the proposal of holistic education to solve many of these problems that currently plague us is precisely to increase that awareness, looking within, being more aware, there is an enormous possibility of giving a better course for all these advances.

Personally I understood the importance of knowing yourself a little more, I learned to be a little more compassionate, to understand that there are different paradigms and that each of us can have a very different interpretation of something that is being looked at and the most important of all this is to be able to accept the differences since these are not opposite but complementary. Currently I am very interested in researching and practicing what is meditation and yoga, of the benefits that they bring to the people who practice them, I think that I advance a little more in this master's degree, perhaps not at the pace that I would have

The Master in Holistic Education with Dr. Ramón Gallegos was a very nice and rewarding experience to have studied this Master, I would have liked to learn more and have practiced more of some of the topics discussed here, many times I wondered how can I apply to my person this theory? Some others I said to myself, am I applying the study correctly? And some others outright I said to myself: well I think the worst thing I can do is worry about this.
