The pessimist and the optimist: both against the realist

Anonim

The glass is half empty or half full. As you see it? That is an extraordinary question that I think has been with us throughout our lives; Without much analysis, almost all of us want to see it half full, while a few take refuge in certain arguments to see it half empty.

Those who ask me that question are surprised when I tell them that I see it in the middle… yes, it is my way of seeing the glass, it is what I call being realistic. I do not consider myself an optimist, much less want to be a pessimist, whoever knows me knows it. The optimists are very happy people and always expect something good behind anything.

They are a type of people that we always want to have by our side… in the worst of times, he pulls out a good phrase that makes us lift our heads and wait for the wind to change; the wind will at some point be in our favor. "In bad weather, good face" or "there is no evil that does not come".

Pessimists are more contagious. They stand in a negative position and have phrases like; "This only happens to me" or "I am a man / woman who has bad luck"… among many others. They believe in bad luck, in the ominous bird and many other evils that their lives have saved for them.

The worst thing is that when they are having a good time, when the moment of “good luck” comes into their life, they do not enjoy it, since that is temporary; they do not rejoice, since at some point everything will be damaged. These types of people think that the wind will always be against, they live complaining about it.

For the realist there is no wind for or against, he worries about learning to sail and does not wait for the wind to change, he just raises the sail and starts sailing. That is why they say that the wind always plays in favor of those who know how to navigate.

The realist; Live what you have, without wasting the good or calling the bad. He does not expect better moments, nor curse the bad ones. He thinks that the best day is the one he has, the only one he can live. That is why he lives it with courage and takes advantage of every minute.

He thinks that the present is so short and so long at the same time that there is no need to waste it. He doesn't kill the time he spends his life trying to get… he just does what he decides to do, what he thinks is best for him and those around him. He is always at the right time, at the right time and in the right place. He looks for the reason, he does not mind not having it. In short, the realist builds what he wants to be.
