The emotional salary

If we study Victor Frankl, we will find interesting provocations to understand that the search for the meaning and the meaning of life is also at the base of motivation.

The search for meaning is the only one capable of filling the existential void that claims to be filled. The lack of meaning generates existential neurosis, which can generate depression, a clear indication of motivational problems. The internalization of values constitutes a healthy element of consolidation of their own motivations.

Motivation as Intrapersonal Competency of Emotional Intelligence "Wisdom of the Heart" has deep roots in people. The motivated person is inhabited for hope, that human-therapeutic factor, which translates into patience, dedication or perseverance.

When the motivations are weakened, it is easy for depersonalization, ritualization of behaviors to take place as a defense mechanism, and there is a danger that it will become one of the symptoms of Burn-out, with the consequent dissatisfaction in what it does.

It is necessary that there is an internal psychological contract or also called the "Internal Emotional Salary", given by the satisfaction of doing things well. The true motivation in someone's life is to turn their daily actions, their tasks, into something they feel, want and do, that nobody imposes on them.

In short, human motivations express culture, thought and the complexity of values, reinforce ethical bases and question the exclusive paradigm of knowledge and the hegemony of scientific-technical reason. They are, therefore, at the base of humanization, because it involves the people who help and the world of their values.
