Personal success. Can you get it or is it a sustainable process?

Anonim

One of the most important needs of people is the desire to constantly improve their lives. That feeling is part of the nature of the human being and resurfaces every day when getting up. Knowing that you can affect and improve your environment through your own influence, will make you feel great internal satisfaction. This is a key ingredient for living in a state of full happiness. We are constantly looking for ways to get more and more and always earn more, thinking that once you "have everything" you will be happy and transform your life into perfect. So, it's time to take things slower and relax, to enjoy your current life.

These thoughts act like a virus that can "kill" your best feelings, if it is not emotionally it can affect your spiritual part. Our society is full of examples of people who have achieved great results, have a great economic position and apparently have everything, but they are totally unhappy and have to constantly deal with the ups and downs of their emotions. They have failed to understand the true purpose of success.

Its Latin origin means "to advance" or "to progress", which implies that success is not "something" that can be found in itself, but rather is a process that has nothing to do with the final result. From that point of view, success is what will improve your life, since it is what moves you forward to improve your life experience.

In this quest for a higher quality of life, most people lose sight of the real reason why they really want to succeed. You can never relate it to "things," but it is the way you think these things will make you feel once you've got it. Your success can be obtained either by a sustainable process or not.

You can get most of your wishes in life, but this does not "guarantee" that you are happy. When you strive to achieve and accumulate "things", you will experience that you always lack something, because you resort to external aspects to give content to your internal feelings, and you will believe that these feelings will reappear once you achieve what you are after.

The true meaning of an objective must never be related to the value of something material, but must be appreciated from the point of view of the qualities that will be gained as a person who is in search of his goals.

For you to achieve that success and be sustainable, you must develop it through a new mindset that focuses not on what you must do to get what you want, but on what you must do to attract what you want and keep it in that state. When you change the way you think, you will begin to use your goals and success as a means to your end, instead of being an end in itself and becoming a whole for your life. Begin to distance yourself from this need to have "things" to feel happy and satisfied in your life.

Knowing that you can achieve that success is not always enough because you need to go through that experience of success. It is feeling that feeling as part of who you are as a person, as part of your personality. When success comes only through material elements, it rarely lasts long.

Throughout our history, anecdotes have been known of great young people who have achieved their short-term goals of success, but who have subsequently broken down emotionally. The reason is that they had not learned the key to lasting success, which is the ability to sustain that success in their lives. Sustainable success is inexhaustible. It is consistent and takes care of itself. With the qualities and attributes that you have learned through your experience in reaching your goals, you are able to recreate any type of goal, since you are the source of that energy.

The concept of success and sustainability is well illustrated by Aesop's fable "the goose that lays the golden eggs." The hen could lay a golden egg every day, but its owner had no patience, and her ignorance played against her because she wanted everything now. So, she decided to kill the chicken to have all the eggs in one go, but found that there was nothing. The moral is that you must feed and develop yourself so that you can maintain your happiness and success. Do not focus your attention on achieving goals, that your “golden eggs” are based on your values as a person and how that success makes you feel.

You can get that success or you can get there. The goal is the same, but the mindset is very different. You can achieve the "things" that will make you feel that you are successful, or you can become the source of your own success. Do you want lasting results? But this will only come from your ability to create and recreate in your life experience.

Adopting a mindset of creating lasting success, and becoming sustainable, starts with the principle that a person must "give" and "not receive." In giving, the “doing” begins, which is the basis of the experience that must be maintained forever.

Success is a positive feeling that will never be in vain and that you don't leave anything out of your desires.

Get away from that need to get "stuff" and focus on your life experience and achieving good emotional content. That your success does not become something static because what does not grow ends up disappearing. Become a person behind your goals so that your success is sustainable over time.
