The minimum content required for Environmental Impact Studies depends on whether they are studies corresponding to actions subject to ordinary procedures or whether they are studies included in planning instruments.
Data that make up the environmental impact studies of actions subject to ordinary procedure
In the case of actions subject to the ordinary procedure, the Environmental Impact Studies must include, at least, the following content:
- Description of the project and its actions: definition, characteristics and location of the project; use of land and other natural resources; manufacturing or construction procedures; waste dumped and emissions of matter or energy Examination of viable alternatives and presentation of the adopted solution Environmental inventory and description of the key ecological and environmental interactions Identification and assessment of impacts in the different alternatives Proposal of protective and corrective measures: measures to avoid, reduce or compensate the effects negative effects on the environment Environmental surveillance program: system that guarantees compliance with protective and corrective measures Synthesis document:summary of the conclusions regarding the project and the content of the Study Specific study of affections to the European Ecological Network Natura 2000: identification of habitats and species that appear in the annexes of the Law of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity; repercussions on these habitats and species.
Data that make up the environmental impact studies of the planning instruments
The environmental impact study of the urban planning instruments submitted to environmental evaluation must include, at least, the following content:
