PART I:

METHODOLOGICAL AND THEORETICAL APPROACH TO THE INVESTIGATION

CHAPTER I:

METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH

A first and most important point in an investigation is to define the space, time, human capital and the identification of the main concepts that you will understand.

1.1. DELIMITATION OF THE INVESTIGATION

  • SPACE DELIMITATION

This investigation has included the Administration Service of the Armed Forces, specifically the Administration Service of the Peruvian Air Force.

  • TEMPORARY DELIMITATION

This research is a current investigation, since the issue of emotional intelligence and its institutional application is a new issue for our country.

  • SOCIAL DELIMITATION

This research covered male and female staff from

Officers, Technicians, Sub-Officers, Troop Personnel and

Civil Personnel working in the Intendancy Service of the Peruvian Air Force.

(3) CONCEPTUAL DELIMITATION

It is based on the variables, indicators and elements:

(1) INDEPENDENT VARIABLE:

  1. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

INDICATORS:

X.1. EMOTIONAL APTITUDES

X.2. ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

(2) DEPENDENT VARIABLE:

  1. EFFECTIVENESS OF FINANCIAL DECISIONS

INDICATORS:

Y.1. FINANCIAL DECISIONS

Y.2. EFFECTIVENESS OF DECISIONS

INDICATORS:

1. SERVICE MANAGEMENT

2. OPTIMIZATION OF THE SERVICE

1.2. PROBLEM STATEMENT

In the institutions, due to different situations: economic, labor, social, religious and others, an institutional climate is being experienced that does not favor adequate decision-making by those responsible.

It has been determined that those responsible for institutional activities do not exploit the ability to feel, understand, control and modify emotional states of themselves or their dependents and in the same vein they dedicate themselves to stifling the emotions of their subordinates rather than directing and balance these emotions to get the most out of them in institutional decision-making.

Emotional aptitudes, referring to self-knowledge, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills considered by Goleman (1995) are not being taken into account to contribute to the development of institutional processes and procedures; therefore, favorable financial and social results are not obtained.

Institutions have been showing a lack of management of emotional intelligence that emphasizes the emotional or rational in interpersonal relationships and in group work, which negatively affects decision-making, among the most important, financial, which serves to obtain the financing that is needed to have the investments and develop the institutional activities.

In the institutions it has been noted that each one does not positively influence the state of mind of the others, which does not allow emotions to be a hyper-efficient communication method and therefore does not skillfully take advantage of emotional contagion, it is not sought that each one is part of the emotional team of the other or others and as a consequence of this, the good of each and especially the good of the institutions is not favored at all.

Institutions are not adequately nourishing the emotional intelligence of their workers, who know through their emotional radar how others act and react and fine-tune their own response to promote interaction, not always in the best direction, due to the lack of the respective patronage of the responsible.

The lack of empathy (perceiving what others feel) does not allow emotional tuning and therefore does not open the way to contagion of moods, which hinders efficient and effective work development in the institutions of our millennium.

The vision that workers have of their bosses; it is that they order, command, decide, say what to do, impose criteria, distribute work, control and supervise tasks; but they never consult, much less interpret the emotions of their dependents and therefore all this does not contribute to a good institutional climate and therefore to the optimization of management.

Currently the heads of our institutions do not have the time and adequate guidance to go to books and sources of information on management matters to organize and develop their efforts in the most efficient way; which causes lack of effectiveness, quality, rationality, selectivity and strategic thinking to achieve the desired results and as a consequence of this, those who are in the internal environment and even the environment lose.

In the internal environment are all the resources, human, financial and material that are not used efficiently, effectively and economically.

In the environment, there are the providers of goods and services, the users of the services towards whom all institutional policies, strategies and tactics must be oriented.

GENERAL PROBLEM:

  1. THE EMOTIONAL APTITUDES, FACILITATE THE MASTER OF YOURSELF AND THE MANAGEMENT OF RELATIONSHIPS; WHICH WILL ALLOW THE MOST APPROPRIATE FINANCIAL DECISIONS TO BE MADE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE MANAGEMENT OF THE ARMED FORCES INTENDENCY SERVICE MEETS ITS GOALS, OBJECTIVES AND INSTITUTIONAL MISSION., THEY BEHAVE AND WORK AT WORK; WHICH WILL FACILITATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF FINANCIAL DECISIONS, CONTRIBUTING IN THIS WAY TO THE OPTIMIZATION OF THE INTENDENCY SERVICE OF THE ARMED FORCES.

1.5. JUSTIFICATION AND IMPORTANCE

1.5.1. JUSTIFICATION

Emotions determine the level of performance of which we are capable, in a state of balance or emotional imbalance, as well as determine what type of relationship we maintain with our subordinates (leadership), with our superiors (adaptability) or with our peers (teamwork). Emotions determine how we respond, communicate, behave and function at work and / or at the company; Therefore, these emotions, which together constitute emotional intelligence, must be taken into account in our personal and social daily lives, but especially in companies to obtain the maximum benefit from bosses and subordinates in activities and operational decisions.

Today, for today, companies, institutions and agencies cannot afford to keep people with very high levels of knowledge and skills but who do not have the gift of knowing how to communicate with other individuals and also who lack leadership or ability to generate a harmonious environment, especially with your co-workers. The current demand is the opposite and this is achieved with the exploitation of emotional intelligence in the business field, in order to obtain efficiency in financial, administrative, labor, operational decisions, etc.

It is necessary to exploit to the maximum those capacities that allow us to have better relationships with people around us as well as with ourselves. By developing these skills, we will also be in a position to be true leaders, since the treatment that we will give to our subordinates will be totally cordial, demanding a lot but not disrespecting. All these elements are constituted in the emotional intelligence that is necessary to be applied in the institutional dependencies so that it contributes in the effectiveness of the decisions, among others, financial ones and with that ends up optimizing the management as a whole.

In companies, institutions and agencies, obtaining or managing good emotional intelligence is not an easy task, but if there is a firm intention to adapt it, this will result in extraordinary personal and organizational benefits. The task is then, to look in each one of us for that leader who is hidden and those abilities that we must exploit to the maximum to benefit, especially, the dependency where we render our services; which will facilitate the optimization of your management

1.3.2. IMPORTANCE

This work is important because it contributes to discovering the capacities that allow us to have excellent communication with other people and to properly manage our emotions, which are fundamental characteristics within emotional intelligence, especially if we consider that we live in a world of interrelationships, especially in business activity.

It is useless to have a lot of knowledge if we are not able to develop and manage our emotions as well as possible. When a company conducts a selection process to find new employees, it is no longer determined that the most important thing is how many titles the person has, but that their psychological profile allows them to get along with their colleagues at the workplace and if their communication skills, allows you to have optimal contact with the organization.

Also, this work is important because it allows us to identify that acting intelligently and handling emotions very well are factors highly valued by those companies, institutions and agencies that seek the best individuals, especially for managing financial decisions.
