Discipline as the key to success

Anonim

Success is the combination of perseverance, discipline and a lot, but a lot of passion!

When we talk about success, we all wish that in one way or another there was some quick and easy way to achieve it, fortunately for us there is no such easy path, but the difficult path generates in us not only the character of the winner but also joy if it is we are passionate about.

The current times where products and services are quick and easy, generates in the human being a feeling that success in personal or professional terms has the same characteristics, which is not the case. All the examples of great achievements in the history of mankind are tinged with perseverance and discipline in their achievement. As much as some voices want to sell the idea of instant success, it does not exist.

Perhaps someone points to the lucky hits, like winning the lottery, as proof that instant success exists, but it is not so and for a simple reason: success is not in what you get but in what you transform.

Let's analyze this idea. When something is easily given to you, it is not even valued, but when achieving a goal or objective involved effort, it acquires value. But in the interior there is something magical that happens and it is the creation of a winning character in the person.

Beware of this: Achieving an easy goal does not give the person time to develop that winning character, it gives him what he wants without having earned it, but worse, without having conquered himself achieving the fullness of their capabilities.

Think about it: if we were all given easily, we would never really learn or grow. That is why any achievement that is worthwhile and necessarily will require perseverance and discipline which as extraordinary ingredients will generate in us the magic of the change between what we are and what we can become.

But that perseverance and discipline must be seasoned by an additional ingredient: passion in what we do, otherwise perseverance and discipline will suffocate us because they will demand actions on a path that is not enjoyable.

Dalí, Picasso, Beethoven, da Vinci, they all had something in common: when they were involved in the creation of their works, they slept very little, just a few hours each day. Has it happened to you that when you are doing or doing something that you are extremely passionate about, you can do without sleep and sometimes even eat well? So, where does that force come from to take such dynamic actions as when we do what we do? we like?

When you do what you are passionate about, you, like the great geniuses mentioned at the beginning, connect with a dynamic force that we all have, that is superior and that is only activated when what we face brings a mixture of challenge but at the same time of inner joy.

So if you want a recipe for success, remember that you should look for what overwhelms you with emotion when you do it and apply the rigor of the discipline to achieve full mastery of both your potentialities and the goal set, after all the Success is the combination of perseverance, discipline and a lot, but a lot of passion!
