This article is an investigation that I found interesting, although I do not intend to reach any conclusion, the information presented here is relevant and my intention is that anyone who likes can make use of it, this is only a small contribution that I would like to be from utility for students.

Undoubtedly we are living in a time of capitalism, technology and globalization but above all of postmodernity, always hear this last concept "postmodernity" but really what is postmodernity?

Let's talk about postmodernity as a historical period, the postmodern world has different realities, both historical-social and socio-psychological, some of the most important characteristics are:

  • In contrast to modernity, postmodernity is the time of disenchantment; Utopias and the idea of progress as a whole are renounced. There has been a change in the capitalist economic order, moving from an economy of production to an economy of consumerism. Countless little heroes emerge who disappear when something appears before our eyes. more attractive and innovative. We care about taking care of the environment, but consumption makes us addicted. We are being bombarded every moment by the mass media to be compulsive consumers. There is a loss of faith in reason and science instead technology is worshiped. There is constant concern about natural disasters and the end of the world.

These are some of the realities of the time in which we live without a doubt I can say that postmodernity is intimately linked to technology and consumerism, here is where undoubtedly education is a fundamental part of higher level academic development, definitely for A student acquiring the skills and bases to be an entrepreneur will be essential to be able to face the challenges that will arise when starting an active working life.

Competency-based education

An entrepreneurial spirit is what characterizes the students who are being educated by this new formula:

  • rethinking strategies, acquiring skills, developing initiatives that give them the confidence to be leaders, to coordinate work and guide others, learning about the demand for technology, understanding the needs of the society in which it is developed, emphasizing the integral values, being emotionally intelligent to be able to develop intrapersonally, interpersonally adequately. acquiring cognitive skills effectively and efficiently. ability to "learn to learn" obtain knowledge of daily tasks.

Although technology, globalization is advancing by leaps and bounds, I would say that as students sometimes we are overwhelmed in these two aspects, we must bear in mind that acquiring skills during the process of our academic training and at the beginning of our working life will bring as consequences University graduates with the ability to analyze, to know about the supply and demand of the society in which they develop, the knowledge, skills and values that the university graduate will have at the end of their academic training are the tools with which he can face society, a society that is in constant change, a demanding society of services and innovative products that give them real satisfaction when purchasing. That is why being at the forefront is not enough,What is really important is to be innovative and be an entrepreneur as university students, having acquired these skills, we are prepared to apply them in our companies, products or services, to be leaders in any area, to solve problems, and above all we are ready to create our own company.
