Many women do that. They compare themselves to their male peers and deduce that they simply do not possess the ability to handle money as well as they do.

Most of the courses on personal finance are made by men and address the topic of numbers with more numbers: percentages, Excel spreadsheets, organizers, calculations, etc…
You already lost interest, right?
Well, there is another way to confront your weaknesses with money and it starts much deeper:
It starts with your personality! In the same way that your personality affects other areas of your life, it also has a great influence on how you relate to money.
Here I describe eight different personalities, also called “Money Archetypes” (Sacred Money Archetypes®, by Kendall Summerhawk, www.KendallSummerhawk.com) and how each relates to money:
- The Alchemist: She is an idealist and has a strong sense of social justice, which is why she has a love / hate relationship with money. She is very visionary, but she needs to learn to base her ideas on practical actions that transform her ideas into money. The Connector: For her, human relationships are about everything, including money. She tends to live quite disconnected from her numbers, but has a lot of faith and optimism. The Hoarder: She and money are a match made in heaven. She loves to save and knows how to measure her expenses, but she tends to live in a world that is too small for not wanting to spend. The Dissident: She is very attracted to opportunities to get rich. She can win and lose a lot of money, but she knows how to take risks and is very good with numbers.His business dominates most of his life and he loves to empower people through it. It is hard for her to have fun, but she is very determined and creates a lot of value. The Celebrity: Values money as a tool to achieve status, image and recognition. She may fall into compulsive spending, but she is a good leader.The Caregiver: She wants to protect, care for, or nurture others financially, even to the point of running out of money herself, but she is very faithful and, as a businesswoman, delivers value with amazing characteristics.La Romántica: She knows how to enjoy life and spends money "because she deserves it." She tends to ignore anything to do with finances and is very generous to others.Value money as a tool to achieve status, image and recognition. The good news is that each and every one of them has both strengths and weaknesses with money. Therefore, you can stop condemning yourself because you do not think you are so skilled in the matter of finances.
