Why do we study? the 3 basic reasons

People study for 3 main reasons; out of necessity, when you hope to obtain personal satisfaction; they study out of obligation, when you have the commitment and responsibility to do so; and they study for pleasure, that is, for distraction or hobby.

Paradigm, this term is used to describe the set of experiences, beliefs and values that affect the way in which an individual perceives reality and the way in which he responds to that perception. It should be taken into account that the world is also understood by the paradigm, therefore it is necessary that the meaning of the paradigm is the way in which the world, man and of course the realities close to knowledge are understood.

Do you study to be rich, or to be a slave?

While universities are prepared to train non-free thinkers, and religions limit science by contradicting what is not in accordance with their faith, wars and social, climatic and economic adversities favor the progress of humanity, because it is in human nature to face problems and then figure out how to solve them; But, what does our mind do if the problem posed is not really a problem but the formal representation of an assigned academic task, where the problem that affects the student is not the exercise or task posed but approving the assignment properly, his mind will lead him to devise a solution that could be to study and carry out the topic, copy the task from a nearby source, request help from external tutors, or use some other means against morals.

But all these means used are valid and consistent with the objective, since there are several ways to reach a goal set and each student can take the one that is most comfortable for him regardless of whether he learns or not, prioritizing a different new objective. the goal is not to learn but to pass; Therefore, we conclude that the problem is poorly posed, and the teaching methodology used by the educational center is not the correct one, but is harmful because it violates the purpose of said institution of imparting knowledge and ensuring proper learning.

Which brings us to an unanswered question. Why do universities focus more than 80% of the student's time on making him repeat and memorize something that is already developed and published everywhere, that is not going to serve him in his professional life or in his personal life?

It does not seem worrying to you to see how millions of university students waste their time memorizing information to take an exam, information that any mentally disabled person can find in a library or on the Internet, but the saddest and most pathetic thing is that this information is not going to serve as nothing in life, and both teachers and students are aware of that but nobody cares to change what is already structured; that's a good example of a paradigm.

Universities are structured to train good, "working little ants"; but authentic human beings who think have to train themselves, because they have no other alternative, they have nowhere to turn, hence the importance of social circles, surrounding themselves with people who really know, who learned from experience, and also the free transmission of information.

The university does not teach you social skills necessary to stand out in life, you learn them through the same contact with people who are in the social environment of your class or your community.

Which leads us to another unanswered question, what is the goal of studying at university ?; Is it perhaps, to graduate in a profession that allows us to work and then earn money? If so, then do we go to college to earn money?

This is impossible, because the educational plans are not designed to train researchers, nor are they financially conscious people who know how to manage their resources. If we want to learn to handle money, we do not go to university, we learn alone, researching, consulting, reading, learning independently.

Universities not only play with the time of their students, but also with their opportunity cost, the valuable time and money invested in attending university can well be used to learn and develop a lucrative activity, which ensures financial and emotional well-being, giving space to hire the services of a variety of working ants that willingly work for a lot or displeased will work for little, but in the end they will work as slaves, prisoners of a place and without freedom to use their mind and time, because in the The university trained them to follow orders and then jump for joy when they received the approval of the correct fulfillment of said order.

But you know who is behind them supporting their useless teaching system, it is simple, the companies that want working ants, who do not think, just repeat, and when they have to think, all they think about is doing their job well done, so they can earn more money; But let's not forget its collaborator, the State, exactly, because it is the State that, through a Ministry of Education, decides which institution becomes a university and authorizes it to give professional degrees, which will then be requirements to be able to work and survive.

Surely you are wondering, But what does the State gain? They benefit from having their little working ants generating wealth and paying taxes, which serve to sustain themselves, and since these people are very busy and at the same time worried about working, they will not think about how to oppose their authorities.

Why do you study, for money or why do you like it?

The learning process is typical of every living being aware of its existence, but the human being, unlike animals, has perfected the instinctive and precarious learning process, evolving it towards a conscious and methodological learning.

Why do you study, for money or because you like it?

Why do you work, for money or because you like it?

Why are you going on vacation, for money or because you like it?

Have you ever asked yourself these questions? People study for 3 main reasons; out of necessity, when you hope to obtain personal satisfaction; they study out of obligation, when you have the commitment and responsibility to do so; and they study for pleasure, that is, for distraction or hobby.

It would be great to be able to study, work, and go on vacation because you want and enjoy doing it, but the greatest thing in the world would be that at the same time we are making a lot of money. There are many people who do, in society they call them, rich.

Money is a necessity, which is why studying for money is acceptable, and in fact we must recognize that when we choose a professional career we think so much about what we like and if we can make money working in that profession.

Have you thought about why babies tend to learn instinctively, their instinct leads them to experiment with trial and error processes, to perceive through their senses and through the information transmitted by their parents or people around them. It is necessary to learn to investigate, babies do it instinctively, on the other hand adults are more pigeonholed into norms, but the reality is simple, you have to find the source of what, or where to find the knowledge, and submit that information to a process of validation and evaluation to form your own criteria on the subject.

As the human being leaves its baby phase towards adulthood, the common people are questioning their ability to learn autonomously, relying more and more on the knowledge of others, that is, on the knowledge transmitted by someone who has already followed the way, which we agree that it is a very successful technique but not the appropriate one, since it blocks other additional alternatives to incorporate information such as scientific research, philosophical reasoning, experimentation and practice, among others; which are based on imagination, creativity, perseverance, leadership and entrepreneurship.

If you analyze why there are very few people who are successful in the activities they carry out, we will find that these people have superior and specialized knowledge above that of others, knowledge that was acquired thanks to the use of additional or alternative methods of learning, they were not satisfied with repeating something already structured, indeed, they were even very lazy students.

What we can learn from this lesson; that if we find what is the force that motivates us to study and work, we can find the key to reprogram our mind to acquire richer and more exclusive knowledge, which allows us to differentiate ourselves from the rest and achieve the desired success.

Why do I have to study if I don't want to?

Have you ever asked yourself this question, Why do I have to study? Surely more than once you questioned yourself having to learn something that you didn't like, but you said, what does it matter, I have to study, and then you thought, but to me I care to know this, the teacher is crazy, make us memorize 20 sheets from one day to the next, and then there is no lack of the one that tells you, but what a good level of demand your university has, good professionals must come out of there, companies they must fight to hire them, then your eyes lit up and you thought, study, work in a good company, more money, study, work in a good company, more money, study, work in a good company, more money; and you were programmed to justify studying something you didn't want to learn.

Okay; I tell you that there are three fundamental reasons that drive human beings to study; the need, curiosity and obligation to acquire knowledge.

If we focus on the first option, that is, the need to acquire information, this is based on the need to learn something and then apply it and thus earn money, or the need to learn something in order to obtain personal satisfaction, that is, to achieve self-improvement goals. As for example when we study a professional master's degree.

If we focus on the second option, that is, the curiosity to acquire knowledge, we refer to an education focused on recreation, in other words as a hobby. As for example when we take a yoga class, singing, theater or simply read a news story in the newspaper.

If we focus on the third option, that is, the obligation to acquire information, in this case there will be external pressure that will force us to have to learn something, otherwise something bad will happen in our lives. As for example when we have to take an exam that if we do not pass it we will repeat the course, and therefore we will lose time and money.

Within these three points, people behave differently in the face of the degree of pressure they encounter, surely a person who feels pressured to study is going to give him more dedication and therefore obtain better results, but it can also happen quite the contrary with another person who simply blocks and collapses in the face of stress.

To make it clearer, I am going to tell you the story of Pedro.

When Pedro was still a child, he already knew what he wanted to be when he grew up, he loved football and wanted to be a professional player, his parents supported him at all times, they enrolled him in a school to perfect his way of playing, at a very early age He was already considered in the national team to represent his country in youth tournaments, all the effort that Pedro put into learning and perfecting his game was being rewarded.

Pedro began to earn money and was aware that his profession as a footballer would not last his whole life, as a wise person he was, he saw the need to learn to manage his money, so he enrolled in a course on investments in the stock market and he devoted himself to studying in his spare time. As you can appreciate a need in both personal and work life, it can lead you to study with a good spirit, with a lot of will and perseverance, because you are aware that you need it and that it is a goal to fulfill that will give you great personal satisfaction, which encourages you to keep going no matter how complicated it may seem.

Pedro began to invest in the stock market and earn more money than before, so his fellow soccer players also entrusted him with their money to invest for them in exchange for a commission, Pedro felt important and accepted willingly. Then he felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders and he felt no longer the need but the obligation to learn, he did not want to look bad with his friends and he stayed studying until late at night, he went to courses on weekends and tried to learn as much as he could, without correctly discerning whether what he was learning was important, useful, or necessary. As you can see, the pressure of having to learn generates a stress that blocks reasoning and leads us to repeat actions mechanically, in this case the action that Pedro undertook was to study without stopping, neglecting an important aspect when investing in the stock market, which is to analyze the circumstances that surround us.

What used to amuse him now stressed him out, what used to give him benefits was now a heavy load, Pedro neglected his training sessions and underperformed, so he was fired from the club where he played, likewise he made bad decisions in the stock market and lost all his money in addition to other people's money, remaining in debt for the rest of his life.

Pedro felt demoralized and resentful of his former soccer club, so he dedicated himself to criticizing how badly he physically trained his players, he read articles and news about nutrition, anatomy, physiotherapy, he attended courses to learn more and be able to give his opinion with more criteria, each time he investigated more and more to be able to draw his own conclusions.

Before he knew it, he had become an expert fitness consultant so his services were in high demand and highly valued. Pedro got out of his debts, he obtained much greater fame and recognition than he ever had, and within a profession that would last him many more years than his career as a footballer and that would also be constantly on the rise.

As you can see in the case of Pedro, learning something that he was interested and curious about was the best thing that could happen to him, he did not have the need or the obligation to learn, only the desire, which was stronger than any other impulse..

To end this story, I recommend doing a self-analysis and rethinking of your life, examine and realize what your motivations are to study and if you are really doing it because you feel the desire to do so.
