Introduction

Obesity is a disease that is due to the accumulation of more amount of fat in the body. A WHO report states that the obesity epidemic is worrisome since Mexican children, in addition to obesity, may be malnourished at the same time as being overweight. In addition to "They are exposed to foods high in fat, high in sugar, sodium, foods that tend to be cheaper but also less nutritious."

The WHO reports that in 2013, more than 42 million children under the age of five were overweight in the world.

Report of the Federal Secretary of Health; She refers that the combined prevalence of overweight and obesity occurs in one in four children (26%) and in one in three adolescents suffer it (31%).

Report from the Federal District states that 26% of school-age children are obese (5.54 million people).

Based on the above data, Mexico is the second place in the world in obesity in adults and the first place in childhood obesity according to the WHO and the Federal Secretary of Health.

Therefore, my proposal is to reduce overweight and obesity in school-age children through rhythmic physical exercise within schools, as part of the teaching curriculum, which in addition to providing calorie burning, I am sure that it can also train children with vasomotor development, more positive attitude change and better use of knowledge in a simple way.

Heredity, intake of foods rich in carbohydrates and fats, intake of sugary drinks, sedentary lifestyle.

Conditioning factors

Low-cost access to junk grocery products.

Example: cakes, golden tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, French fries, chicharrones prepared with pork skins, soft drinks, ice creams, sweet with chili, all with a pleasant flavor that encourage constant consumption.

Shopping sites: Inside the school and outside the school.

Reflection: Journey of an elementary school student in a normal day.

20:00 to 22:00 Hrs… Some have sweet bread, milk, daily meal, cereal and sleep between 8 and 9 hours. Others between 9 and 11 hours a day.

On weekends at night they consume tacos, quesadillas, hamburgers, tamales, atole, pizza, etc.

LETTER IN RED INDICATES FOODS THAT PROMOTE OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY DATA OBTAINED FROM A DIRECT SURVEY OF 15 PRIMARY EDUCATION CHILDREN.

Justification

If we estimate that digestion lasts between 2 to 4 hours on average, the time spent sitting in class encourages the body's storage of carbohydrates in the body by reducing physical activity and favors obesity or overweight.

So I also estimate that 2 days a week he has 1 hour physical education. that in reality this activity reduces its effectiveness because; Time is wasted in changing the uniform, in arriving at the place of the activity and in following the instructions of the teacher, and then only carry out activities such as stretching of arms, legs, jogging, running, soccer, basketball. Perhaps with little expenditure of calories. For the above I propose.

Proposal

"Implement two hours a day of dancing with music videos of different musical rhythms, which indicate the movements to be performed, through the use of electronic equipment called Xbox 360, Kinect connected to a screen."

This allows you to move the body through a dance, since the Kinect responds to movements which allows you to dance, jump, turn, raise the arms or legs, in short, it sets the whole body in motion. With this proposal, the only thing the student has to do is get up from the bench.

Benefits

  • Visomotor coordination Musculoskeletal mobilization Energy expenditure 500 and 700 calories in 1 hour of dancing Release of neurotransmitters that promote a happy or satisfied attitude Wide perception of the environment. Among others.

Advantage

They do not require instructors only responsible for taking care of the order and logistics of use.

Future result

  • Weight loss Musculoskeletal exercise Happy children

Methodology to follow

  • Detection of obese or overweight students in schools Perform a medical examination to find out their health status or physical limitations Join groups and establish a schedule before during or after school is indistinct as it lends itself to measuring results in school achievement. Motivate parents not to buy junk food at the end of this activity. School doctor follow up and present results.

  • Teachers, Physical Education Teachers, School Doctors, SEP Authorities, Parents.
