Remodeling of the chess academy in taguasco

Table of contents:

Anonim

Cuba is the first country in the new world to practice chess according to historical documents, and this happened in Villa de San Salvador de Bayamo.

We do not have confirmed information about the practice of Chess in Taguasco before 1959.

In 1959, Doctor Raúl Gómez Portales, recently graduated from the University, settled in Taguasco and was a good player in the science game.

Some local people learn to play with it. Later, a group of young people in the military mobilizations and in the SMO Obligatory Military Service also learned the game and in the middle of the 60s the social circle Rusbel Pérez began to be practiced in the Spanish Colony today and in the house of the Doctor Portales located on Eladio Fernández Street # 54.

With the increase in the educational and cultural level of the population, the ESBEC Escuela Secundaria Básica en el Campo arises, which began in the 1970s to practice in schools.

In 1986 the National Women's Chess Championship was held in the palace of pioneer today "Orlando Díaz Oliva" in Taguasco, where the International Master Asela de Armas and today's Grand Master Vivian Ramón and International Master Zirka Frómeta played, among others.

In 1992, Taguasco, won the provincial Chess championship for the first and only time, this achievement was with the team that I trained at the then Zaza del Medio academy.

The Guide for our current daily work is contained in the historic speeches delivered by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Councils of State and Ministers, in the closing session of the III Congress of the PCC and that of the inauguration of the EIDE of the City of Havana, where it is expressed: "the number one principle is to promote the well-being and health of the people with sport and the number two is to seek champions." To fully comply with these basic principles, sports specialists must work with the quality and demand required in our spheres of influence, as an unavoidable issue.

That at each level of teaching, consolidation and improvement of sports, the order established in the contents of the program is fulfilled in order to achieve the basic objective of: «Developing the massiveness and from this that future talents that high performance sport arise requires ».

The participation of all the potential of Sports Specialists who work from the base, has allowed us to reach a stage in which deep analysis, systematic decantation and the necessary updating have prevailed, enabling us to channel sports development through the different levels of teaching, whose logical order of content has a single pedagogical and scientific basis.

Justification

With the realization of this project, large groups of players who participate in the different municipal and provincial tournaments benefit, as well as occasional and daily practitioners who attend to play, as well as talented children who participate in the different municipal and provincial tournaments, which are organized into neighborhood clubs. The school of talented children who receive classes at the school every day will receive an extraordinary boost. The training plan for emerging teachers who will later graduate with a Bachelor of Physical Education also receives significant support.

It will also serve as a training base during the weekends for talented children from rural communities and who participate in school games and improve the place they currently occupy. Among the activities that have been developed with them is the teaching of different training modules of Midgame and Final Openings, stops with the students as well as simultaneous. The different communities and neighboring neighborhoods that we have will benefit, receiving an extraordinary boost with the visits of their students to raise the level of play and contribute to the massification of chess in the population.

Currently the main problems presented by the academy are:

  1. Insufficient lighting. Increasing deterioration of the floor and the front door. It does not consist of the chairs and tables. Insufficient chess games. Lack of boards. Insufficient number of watches. Lack of security on the premises.

General objectives

Provide a quality service to all Chess practitioners in the municipality.

Specific objectives

  1. Improve the conditions of the chess venue to promote greater incorporation and retention of students in the sport. Carry out events that contribute to raising the technical and methodological level of the teachers who train in this place for the massification of chess. Provide a quality recreational technical service to practitioners, amateurs who come to the academy in their free time and in particular to the disabled. Achieve high quality classes that contribute to the comprehensive training of our little student-athletes. Expand the services of the academy to the evening hours for the recreational practice of chess.

Beneficiaries

With this project 48 talented students enrolled in the area directly benefit, 19 emerging teachers who will receive classes in the local, 43 players from the municipality who are structured in different school categories, Youth and Seniors, 19 chess teachers receive the methodological preparation that They meet every two weeks with a view to preparing the classes to be taught in the municipal schools. Also an approximate total of 150 fans who could attend daily to enjoy some chess games. The venue also serves as the stage for the final of the municipal tournaments where the best players of the municipality generally participate. As well as more than 1500 elementary and middle school students who participate in chess literacy.

Mainstreaming and strengthening the gender approach

  • 24 children enrolled in the area receive a direct benefit, whose unfavorable conditions contribute to the desertion of a large number of them. Students enrolled in the Chess course that together with chess teachers receive the classes and methodological preparation also benefit, with the main tournaments standing out: Troadio Pérez in memoria (INDER-ACRC) Isla de la Palma. (INDER-Canary Association) Municipal School Cup category 9-10 and 11-12 (INDER-MINED) Massification Tournament (INDER) Municipal Social Tournament (INDER) Rapid Chess Tournament. (INDER)

Millennium Goals and Rights of Girls and Boys.

With the execution of this project, it contributes to the Millennium Goals in:

- Promote gender equality and the empowerment of women; by giving both men and women the opportunity to find new forms of leisure and recreation, as well as opportunities for 2 new jobs, basically for the female sex.

This program also guarantees that:

- Boys and girls, as stipulated in article 31.1 in relation to paragraph 2 of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, have adequate places that contribute not only to their recreation and to carrying out recreational activities typical of their age; but also their effective participation in the cultural and artistic life of the town is promoted.

Environmental impact

We consider that from the environmental point of view the project improves the conditions not only of the premises but also improves the aesthetics of the surroundings of the popular council of Taguasco where the Academy is located, because today, given the deterioration conditions it presents, it does not correspond to the structure that the environment has received, and is receiving in terms of remodeling.
