If your plan doesn't work… change the plan and not the goal

Anonim

Human beings are, by nature, stubborn, stubborn, stubborn. We persist in our actions despite everything that others may say about it and / or the signals that come to us. We like to insist, to endure in what we are doing. But until when? Until where? We continue, we continue, receiving the same results… until a moment comes when we are almost forced to say that "I was wrong, I will change the goal…" - "I will bring it closer, I will make it less oppressive, less difficult, and that is how my plan will work. ”. And we restart everything under the easiest mode.

Many of us, at the beginning of this new year, are thinking with great confidence, how we are going to face the challenge that we have set ourselves for this period, which has been the result of "next year I will be more efficient." Most of the pseudo-plans thus formulated have a destiny already marked: failure.

The cold and calculated analysis of "what I did and what I did not do" to obtain the final results, is the starting point for the elaboration and setting of a goal, of an objective that is clear and defined. As we all know, but we do not apply it, the goals, the objectives, must be clear and defined, but also measurable, quantifiable, and most importantly, in my opinion, challenging, that is, they pose a strong challenge. That goal to be met is the one that requires a methodologically well-organized plan.

But is all of the above enough? - Of course not. We can put the whole plan on paper, on the computer, on a blackboard, and there it will be… waiting for its start and development. The key factor is in the ATTITUDE that we take towards what we have set as a goal. ATTITUDE is the way, the way, in which we face a concrete situation. There is a proverb that says: “For those who walk sad, all days are bad; for those who are happy, every day is joyful. "

I have met very frequently with people who directly state that they are going to change, that they are going to modify their way of working, that now, this will be my year, they manifest, but in the short and medium term, it is appreciated that they have not made any changes and, on the contrary, at the first signs of negative results, their ATTITUDE towards changes, towards the new, towards the challenge, begins to be NEGATIVE. Thoughts such as, "I will not be able to do it, it will be difficult for me, that will not work", etc., are disrupting, demolishing the foundations on which that goal was based. And then they turn to the easiest thing: change the GOAL.

And changing the GOAL, will it be the solution? - If the challenge was built, elaborated on real, achievable and measurable bases, the problem is not in it, but in “what will we do or are we doing to achieve it? - What is our ATTITUDE towards this GOAL? - How are we preparing to achieve it? ”.

It is that blaming others or looking for external reasons is easier than looking in a mirror or thinking that we have a bad plan. When you have a positive ATTITUDE, it is easier to find solutions than with a negative ATTITUDE, in which everything we find will only be excuses to justify the bad result.

When we have a positive ATTITUDE towards our work, towards our own life, the solutions to the problems we face will be smarter, more efficient! - For this reason, I invite you to start this year with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE and to persevere in our GOALS.
