A definition of personal success

Anonim

How many times in your life have you used the word success? How many times have you referred to this word as something you want, envy, or is part of you? But how do you define the word success? What is success?

Everyone wants it and very few get it. It seems like a riddle and it is curious to think that we are referring to a word that has different meanings for each person. We have classified it into professional, family, school, social, financial successes etc. This is one of those words that I call "fat."

It is very difficult or almost impossible to reach a goal if it is not clear to us. The first thing you have to do to be successful is to know for sure what success is for you. Is success an objective in your life?

After much research work I came up with a definition of success that seems to me the most accurate:

" Success is peace of mind, it is the self-satisfaction of knowing that you do your best to become the best you are capable of being."

Based on this definition I will write this and many other writings.

Taking into account the aforementioned, we cannot perceive success as a goal in life, it is as if we were chasing a sunset, even if you run west you can never achieve it. Success is a feeling, an attitude, a way of thinking, acting and being, a way of life that is reflected in a peace of mind.

The truly successful individual is not successful only by moments or in triumphant situations. A successful person feels this peace and this self-satisfaction in moments of pain, failure, rejection and frustration, remains firm, determined and persevering towards their goals regardless of the adverse of external circumstances. For these types of people, failure is the best opportunity to grow and learn and they know that each failure brings them closer to the goal they have set for themselves. In martial arts the best way to learn to raise your guard in combat is to receive kicks.

People made fun of Edison when he insisted and insisted on turning on a light bulb. "Edison has hundreds of failures, and quits" they said, to which Edison replied: "I have hundreds of successes, I have found hundreds of ways how not to light a light bulb." The attitude of success does not give you room to give up, there are no learning failures and learning always benefits you.

The attitude of success involves pleasure, the enjoyment of the entire growth process. Have you noticed that these types of people are not obsessed with success? They don't even talk about him. I once heard an elderly man mention that success, as well as happiness, is comparable to a shoe, you are aware that the shoe exists when something is wrong, when a stone is inserted, when it is squeezed or is too loose, when the shoe is good and comfortable you are not aware that it exists and you never think about it, you do not feel it or give it importance.

Now, what should we do to get our shoes on properly? How to become comfortable to the degree that we even forget that it exists?, John R. The Pyramid of Success
