This set of tools and methodologies have in common the following characteristics: Accessibility to information, Support in decision-making, Orientation to the Internal user and the end user. According to their level of complexity, Smart Business solutions can be classified into: Simple queries and reports, OLAP cubes, data mining, Enterprise forecasting systems. Organizational intelligence is the process of analyzing the company's exogenous and endogenous data in order to extract the knowledge required for decision-making.
A company is highly competitive if it applies Smart Business, that is, if the agents involved in Business Management and who make the decisions can have quick and easy access to the information required at the right time and in the right place and can extract the required knowledge, for which the necessary Data must be integrated and collected, then selected, cleaned and transformed into data mining, then evaluated and interpreted, and finally disseminated, used and monitored.
In order for the Systems Engineer to apply Smart Business, he must take courses in Data Mining, Business Management that applies Strategic Direction in Strategic Alliance Management (PRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Relations with Clients (CRM), Administration of relations with Financial Banking (BRM), Integrated Dashboards (BSC), E-Commerce, E-Marketing, E-learning etc., but not from a technical point of view but from the perspective of Strategic Direction with a holistic and integrationist and multidisciplinary approach in which operational problems can be identified,tactical and strategic and thus be able to propose systemically viable solutions based on emerging tools and technologies with data mining.
Finally, there is a diversity of BI software such as MICROSTRATEGY, COGNOS, SAGENT, BITAM, BUSINESS OBJECT, ORACLE9I etc., There is much to do to apply Smart Business, the trend will be to use BI in the short term both in the Northern Region and at the Peru and we must train in BI to be prepared and be able to participate in the increasingly growing demand that companies demand for BI applications, and a new term called Dynamic Business (BD) is already entering.
