The success of the company begins with the individual

Anonim

The survival and success of the company can be ensured through the personal development of its employees, which leads to a healthy business culture where communication and productivity flourish on their own.

In a perfect world, each person would be self-responsible and we would not have to spend huge amounts of time and resources - which seem necessary today to maintain and grow a business - making sure that each employee adds to the collective energy of the company at least a small percentage of its true potential.

Sadly, a lot of energy is still needed to motivate a normal employee. And although it is common, which acts as a great equalizer in respect to competition in the market, there are cases where, thanks to the union of several factors that are undoubtedly not well enough known in the business world, a company (which in its most basic definition is an association of people, of human beings) manages to get out of impotence, leaving the rest of its “competitors” (if that is how they can be considered) writhing lethargically in the quicksand of ineffectiveness.

Google is a good example. As it has grown, the company has managed to maintain a dynamic and pleasant environment that in turn captivates and motivates its employees (there is an interesting report on the matter on YouTube:.

The important thing is that managers of companies like Google are aware of the importance of a healthy business culture, and do not sacrifice it in favor of stagnant routines that are no longer effective today.

Today, the human being is more individualistic than before. That we continue to cling to the old concepts of authority and discipline no longer makes sense, and becomes counterproductive.

If we understand that a company is made up of individuals and not of automata, we conclude that the future of the company depends, no more and no less, on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state of each of its employees.

This idea is becoming more accepted in the business world: there are companies that encourage and help their employees to improve these aspects of their lives, so important not only for them to become more motivated and less exploited employees, but also for develop self-satisfaction and live a happier life.

In the Spanish soccer league, for example, the use of contemplative meditation is very common. It is scientifically proven, and proven in the practical world, that the benefits of meditation are global and are experienced both in the mind and in the emotions and in the physical state. The result is a previously unattainable level of skill.

The best-known superstar in the world of sports, Michael Jordan, learned to meditate with his coach Phil Jackson. The miraculous basketball player said on more than one occasion that zazen (Zen meditation method) was a huge factor in the six NBA championships he won alongside his team and in his formidable sports profession.

Self-responsibility, motivation and the general state of mind of the employee are factors that are neither, nor should be under the control of the employer. They are personal perspectives and are fully in the hands of the individual. But there is nothing wrong with a company promoting the personal development of its employees, because the benefit will be felt first on a personal level, then extending to every aspect of their life: their mental organization, their ability to see a situation clearly and respond with intelligence, his ability to understand and communicate with others. It is really a relationship of reciprocal benefit.
