Strategy for your membership web business, why should you not use caveman strategies towards your clients?

Anonim

Is it difficult to achieve a stable flow of income in your online business? Maybe you're operating with a caveman-type business system. Here I share a nice analogy from which you can learn a very important lesson on how to achieve a stable income on the web.

One of the most important goals of an Internet business is to create a steady stream of income that is ideally on the rise.

Wouldn't it be great if your business could give you a sustained income that gradually increases over time?

However, I have seen that the vast majority of Internet businesses do not prosper, but barely survive.

I just watched a video by Scott Martineau, Co-Founder of Infusionsoft) in which he uses an excellent analogy to describe this bleak picture:

The main reason why the vast majority of small Internet entrepreneurs are in trouble with their businesses is because they have a caveman-type sales system.

Let me explain: In a traditional Internet business, the business owner is like a cave hunter. Every time he is hungry, he goes out into the forest to hunt his prey, quenching his hunger, only to have to repeat the process later, when he needs to eat again.

Now I ask you a question:

What was the greatest invention that historically brought man out of the caves and produced the first human civilizations?

Some would say it was fire.

Others would say it was the wheel.

However, it was neither.

The invention that removed the caveman from his existence that was in "survival mode" was the encirclement.

The fence allowed him to build a pen for the animals and so he was able to tame them.

Thanks to the encirclement, his livelihood was at his fingertips daily and he no longer had to go out into the forest to try his luck with hunting.

I imagine that you are already understanding the meaning of this analogy and its application for an Internet business.

I never want you to see your customers as a herd to confine, but beyond that, here is an important business lesson:

A sustainable business over time implements systems that allow the business owner to have constant and automatic access to the customer.

Scott Marineau masterfully exposes this great truth in his excellent video referring to Infusionsoft, one of the best Software available today for the small business owner on the web.

However, in my opinion, this analogy also applies very well to the membership model.

The membership model meets customer needs in exchange for monthly fees, thus avoiding this "party-famine syndrome" that is very typical of Internet business.

The internet entrepreneur can even put together different memberships at different price levels, thereby creating a multiple source of recurring income.

So a membership program is an excellent option to give stability to your Internet business.
