Evolution of science and scientific thought

Anonim

Since ancient times, the human being has been concerned with transmitting his experiences, his techniques, his myths, his beliefs, his desires, and desires.

Once a man appears on Planet Earth, he faces countless problems and obstacles; Which he solves in an intuitive and gradual way, with great difficulty due to his little or little experience of the events that arose and presented to him.

However, as time goes by he invents his own tools, which become an extension of his hands or his upper and lower extremities.

Natural phenomena and the needs presented to him force him to try to give some response as a natural reaction product of the external and internal stimuli of which he is subject.

Little by little he realizes that he possesses certain virtues and characteristics (cognitive) that are totally different from the inferior animals. And this is how the awakening of consciousness begins, allowing it to become aware of certain events that presented itself with a certain period of recurrence. But it was through thinking (intuitive, deductive and analogical reasoning) that he learned to observe and relate things in the environment. In this way he began to acquire experiences such as the information he obtained from his daily activities (experiences), and that was how he built his thinking from the experience and challenges that each day was in his path.

Accordingly, with the foregoing, it can be said that the history and evolution of scientific thought is the result of great sacrifices and dedication of generations that in one way or another have contributed and promoted the development and evolution of humanity.

Some people have to ask themselves how and in what way does the development of scientific thought contribute in explaining and describing the processes that are part of natural and social phenomena?

The Greek HERODOTO, who lived in the 5th century BC. C., is considered the father of history. He traveled throughout the Mediterranean, and then wrote a play entitled Stories, in which he recounted what he had seen.

Some historians such as Herodotus, have given themselves the task of transmitting to us and making available to humanity the events of their time, where you can see how each culture made an effort to leave something for posterity such as: constructions that are erected forming great monuments, colossal works where the multiple forms of human thought and creativity are appreciated.

According to Aristotle (384-322 BC), all living beings also have the ability to feel (perceive and have emotions) the world around them and to move in nature. But nevertheless, human beings also have the ability to think or reason, or, in other words, to order their sensations in various groups and classes. The human being has feelings, emotions, and the ability to move like animals, but also a capacity, which only has

the human being, and is to think rationally and emotionally; of being or acquiring a level or state of consciousness. Which allows and helps you to consciously understand all the processes to which you are subjected during your interaction in society and in the world.

The origin of the universe, the solar system, and the life of the plants and animals that are part of Planet Earth have been some of the questions that man has brought with him from generation to generation. It can be said that, from the year 1760 to 2006, there are almost 246 years in which scientific and technological thought has been gradually developing and developing. However, there is still a lot of work to do. It should be taken into account that; if man perishes or is destroyed, then thought also perishes; if man is transformed as well then he can also succeed in transforming nature and society.

The human being builds the culture, and the culture transforms him, it is convenient to reflect on how far he wants to go and what are the general objectives of the human being's goals; Since scientific and technological knowledge is infinite, if nature is infinite in its multiple forms and movements of changes in matter, then the object of study of phenomena becomes infinite.

It is important that, the researcher through scientific knowledge as the only viable and safe way to investigate, understand, analyze, describe and explain human nature, and the processes that occur in nature and in society, encourages and strengthens it to that future generations have a cognitive instrument that guarantees them to describe and understand the reality of the sensible world.

This is how the present material that I put at your disposal tries to transmit and present in a simple and clear way the history and evolution of scientific thought, as a set of knowledge that arises after myth, superstition and religion; whose knowledge has served as the basis and foundation for the construction of science.

Finally, the following question can be asked:

What is the impact on society, on daily life or on culture in general and on the whole world, the use and development of scientific and technological thought?

INTRODUCTION

From the HUMAN BRAIN comes every feeling, thought, emotion, memory, desire, language or ability to learn, reason and investigate. From this organ creativity and imagination are born, he and the sense organs are the bridge between the physical world of objects and the world of Ideas or Representations of man; that through knowledge of phenomena, he manages to understand the laws that govern Nature and Society. And it is so, that with the help of science and technology man can transform the resources found in the environment for the benefit of Humanity.

The human being must be seen and studied as a totality, as a whole. Since the human being is not a cosmic accident, but a culminating phase of the entire natural order, with the peculiar and important function to perform. Only he can illuminate nature with the light of understanding and consciously direct his life and activities in a voluntary harmony with this order, since only he, of all visible beings, has the faculty of rational understanding, as weak and fragile that is, of that cosmic harmony.

To speak of the history and evolution of scientific thought is to speak of the various historical processes that have manifested themselves in events within humanity, which can be described in times or phases of development and evolution, and are the results of the actions of beings. human, as social needs according to each epoch or time. However, despite the great difficulties and obstacles to which human beings have been subjected during their stay here on this planet earth; it can be said that there are determining factors that have influenced in a substantial way the use of experience and reasoning.

And so, the following material describes the different characteristics of the origins of scientific knowledge, from myth, superstition, religion, and even science (pure or basic and applied) as a systematized set of knowledge that through the years and the continuous effort of different sources and groups have today given rise to the knowledge society.

But we must remember that it has not been an easy task, on the contrary we must recognize that, today's science, has been, and is the result of the effort of great personalities that through the fruitful search for the study of processes of natural, social and human phenomena, have managed to describe, interpret, understand and explain through low and high-level theories all those interrelationships and connections that manifest in these phenomena.

Finally, it can be said that scientific thinking is a task in constant construction, since more and more phenomena are continually known, and therefore it can be said that the history and evolution of scientific thought develops in a spiral with dialectical characteristics.
