Personal experience and staffing

Anonim
Low wages and little preference of companies when hiring staff are some of the situations that professionals face today

It is no stranger to us to find or have acquaintances that being professionals and / or some with a specialization in tow, do not easily get a job. This generally occurs if we are in a Latin American country where unemployment is increasing.

Most companies that decide to hire personnel always seek that they have some type of experience in previous jobs or that they have worked in something similar or that has to do with the vacant position.

For this reason, those professionals with specialization feel relegated as they perceive that their effort through the years is not rewarded or valued as it should be. Furthermore, if they do get a job, it has no relation to what has been studied and they just keep it, since, as mentioned before, they are gaining "experience".

The question therefore is: how to do to have degrees and experience at the same time? The answer seems simple: in Latin America, due to the difficult situation in our countries, one has one or the other, but both are very difficult.

And if a professional is lucky and engages in a company, developing what they have learned, the salary is not justified by the investment of time and money that was made to achieve a degree and achieve a specialization. Companies therefore take advantage of the latent need for work and offer salaries much lower than expected.

When hiring staff, companies value the experience of individuals more than the studies carried out by them

Or you can find the case of a company, that when reviewing a resume of an applicant who has several studies and specializations, decides not to hire him as he thinks that the individual's salary aspirations will be high and he will choose better to hire someone who does not have such knowledge and who can pay much less than the professional.

This does not mean, however, that studying and getting more degrees is a disadvantage, the problem is finding committed companies that engage individuals willing to pursue a career within the company, carrying out tasks commensurate with their studies and receiving salaries that compensate for all the effort done in the years of study.

For now, no clear and quick exit is in sight. Unemployment in our region does not want to give up and this means that people who have jobs take great care of them and those who access one, even if they do not meet their expectations, stay in it, looking for the necessary «experience» that will allow them in the future look for new and better directions.
