Training of tourist entertainers through the web and the use of tics

Anonim

The education and training of tourist entertainers today has become a challenge. Raising the quality of service is a first-rate task in tourist centers. But is there an updated bibliography to train and train these personnel? It is necessary to use modern strategies for knowledge management in the specialty of Tourist animation.

Introduction

This work presented below is a novelty in itself, since other articles have been found in relation to methodological work with ICTs, but none refer to the specialty of tourist animation. There are various theoretical studies on tourist animation. But no other studies were found in relation to the subject, contextualized in distance education, supported by the use of these technologies. The training of the animators in relation to the reference specialty is insufficient and the bibliography in both digital and bibliographic support is scarce. In addition to being an effective tool as study material for practicing workers, it also identifies the specialty, allowing the scientific level of the teaching-learning process to be raised, turning the student into an active entity of the process.

objective

Demonstrate the need to work with ICTs to increase the levels of knowledge of the specialty of Tourist Animation. Favoring the training, preparation and updating of specialty workers as well as other workers in the tourism sector.

Development

In the current moments of improvement of the tourist activity we must prepare human resources so that they are able to manage, with guarantees of success, in strategic areas of the company.

In the particular case of Tourist Animation

The availability of specialized bibliography is very limited, so access to updated information, images and catalogs are an aspect that requires the most immediate solution.

This has raised the need to create a strategy in which the subject can, on their own, know and update themselves on the work of Tourist Animation in hotel facilities and in this way they can contribute to the fundamental objective of the specialty: Achieve Animation Tourist that boasts a quality service. In order to achieve a high competitive level within the tourism sector.

For this, the introduction of the most advanced media in information technology (ICTs) is essential. This constitutes an important way to strengthen the teaching-learning process, at a stage where present and future professionals are prepared.

Role of the teacher and the student

The presence of the teacher in front of the classroom does not favor the complete mastery, by the students, of the concepts or the development of skills of the specialty. Therefore, it is necessary to generate new pedagogical models supported by new didactic strategies where the teacher abandons the traditional role of mere transmitter of information and acquires more significant ones such as that of resource provider, that of organizer, tutor, researcher or facilitator., while the student reaches positions of active information processor playing a key role in their training process, which should not lead us to suppose that the teacher loses his role as director of the activity.

The material base must be adapted to the new educational reality, to awaken the interest of the student, favoring access to information through the use of new communication tools and new technological supports, avoiding the accumulation of study material.

To specify the content of interest to use for the training and updating of the specialty of Tourist Animation, this author proposes the creation of a Tourist Animation Web page where the student can find concepts related to the activity, can understand the new trends and in turn reflect on the importance of service within the tourism sector. Becoming an active user.

The creation of this page will allow the student to:

• The search for information on the specialty.

• Conduct seminars and workshops.

• View the content from any computer.

• Compare the results of the exercises carried out and measure the level of knowledge achieved.

• Carry out teamwork.

• Develop and exercise skills.

All this with the guidance of the teacher or specialist in the activity allowing feedback, necessary given the particularities of the content related to the specialty.

The student or consultant can measure how the learning is progressing, by interacting directly with the page. In turn, it allows you to create environments or scenarios for practicing what you have studied in a creative and flexible way. The student can develop imagination and other interesting personality qualities: independence, perseverance, solidarity, concern and others. It also influences motivations, better readiness for learning, performing new types of tasks and reinforces attention to training processes. The link established between the school and the social environment (in this case, the company or facility) will make it possible to deepen and strengthen values, attitudes and patterns of behavior. That they must already be present in the personality of the students.

For the development of the website, both the technological elements of its preparation process and its didactic characteristics must be taken into account, with the aim of truly supporting the adequate preparation of the teachers towards whom it is directed.

Like all web pages, it is based on an information exchange system using hypermedia techniques, using the aspect of communication through hypertext documents, that is, by using a combination of the written texts, with graphic images, animations, videos and hyperlinks, showing words, phrases, sentences, icons or images highlighted in different colors on the screen. This favors a diversity of possibilities for the user, very enriching with respect to the type of information that he receives.

The Tourist Animation Web page must have some general characteristics:

• Be appropriate for 100% of teaching, as well as to complement learning.

• Have a simple, light, efficient, and compatible technology browser interface.

• Be easy to install on almost any platform that supports PHP. That only requires the existence of a database (that can be shared).

• Most of the text input areas (materials, documents, articles, among other readings) can be used to provide the student with a set of information, guidelines.

• The explanation of certain contents should be edited using the HTML editor, as simple as any Windows text editor.

• Allow adding new activity modules to those already installed to keep it updated.

A web page is proposed as a teaching medium to provide the possibility of combining texts, images, sounds, videos and include an interactive activity system, thus facilitating new learning environments.

It will work taking into account the technical vocabulary of the specialty, the use of spaces where the process is carried out, which implies a certain conception of learning and the system of relationships in the institution. Also relying on the communication contained in the study plans of the different entities destined to the training and improvement of personnel for tourism. Taking into account the curricular structure, the general and specific objectives as well as the evaluation forms that appear on the curricular maps. Establishing the selection of that part of knowledge (culture, tourism and sport) that is considered important to transmit, the knowledge and skills to be trained in the students.

The language to be used in the bibliography will be linked to the concepts and contents that must be acquired by the students. At all times using the technical vocabulary of the specialty.

Achieving facilitate the communication is organized on the basis of the interaction of the participants in the process, between which a horizontal relationship is established.

Conclusions

The lack of printed materials, and especially an updated bibliography, is one of the most significant aspects that threatens the quality of teaching at work with training, updating the specialty of Tourist Animation.

The Web page collects methodological information, updated topics and bibliography with a contextualized approach to the knowledge that is necessary to enable adequate self-preparation for staff who are interested in this specialty.
