As well as knowing if the students have considered said company as a future source of employment that the students of the ninth semester of Engineering of the Technological University of San Luis Potosí find to join any of the areas that said company will demand.

1. INTRODUCTION.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE INVESTIGATION

Knowing the opinion of university people if the investment is feasible or not and if the professional people will seek to get the most out of said company, looking for a place to work in it.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

  • To know the point of view of university students who are in the ninth semester at the Technological University of San Luis Potosí on the economic impact on the capital of Potosí that the installation of the transnational company BMW will have in the state of San Luis Potosí. of the UTSLP have considered the BMW company San Luis Potosí plant, as a future source of employment.

2.- APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM

PROBLEM STATEMENT

To know the opinion of students who attend the ninth semester of the UTSLP, about the impact on the state of San Luis Potosí that the installation of the German company BMW will generate in the Logistik II industrial park, located in the municipality of Villa de Reyes, at south of the capital of Potosí. Same report released by the President of the Republic on July 3, 2014, by the President of the Mexican Republic. At that time it was known that the new plant will generate 1,500 new direct jobs; and that it will have the capacity to produce 150 thousand units each year, for the national and export markets.

STATEMENT OF THE HYPOTHESIS

  • The result, based on our objectives, is expected to obtain that a higher percentage of university students will respond that the economic impact will have positive benefits with the installation of the German company. And that the state economy will grow due to the generation of new jobs. It is also expected that most of those surveyed have not considered the German company as a future source of work.

3.- THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

NON-EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION.-

According to María Dolores Perroni Castellano and Ana Silva Guzmán Piedra, non-experimental research is carried out without deliberately manipulating the variables, that is, phenomena are observed and analyzed as they occur naturally; here no situation is provoked but already existing situations are observed. The disadvantage is that it has less rigorous control than the experimental one, but is closer to everyday reality.

QUANTITATIVE INVESTIGATION.-

The quantitative approach has the following characteristics according to Augusto Comte and Emile Durkheim:

  • Raises a delimited and concrete study problem Once the study problem has been raised, reviews what has been previously investigated. On the basis of the literature review, builds a theoretical framework. From this theory derives hypotheses. Tests the hypotheses by using the appropriate research designs. If the results corroborate the hypotheses or are congruent with them, evidence is provided in their favor. To obtain such results the researcher collects numerical data from the objects, phenomena or participants that he studies and analyzes using statistical procedures.

PERIODIC REFERENCE FRAMEWORK ZOCALO DE SALTILLO

According to Gabriel Martínez García, from the PERIODICO ZOCALO SALTILLO, the announcement of BMW's first investment in Mexico, with an assembly plant in San Luis Potosí, was undoubtedly the most important thing in our country for 2014, and confirms that the automotive industry is going way to consolidate as the engine of this nation.

It is enough to remember that the most important foreign investments in recent times in Mexico come from this sector: Audi, Honda, Mazda, the Nissan-Renault-Daimler alliance, and now BMW is joining, which sees our country as a pillar of your growth strategy.

With the integration of the German firm to this synergy of new investments, Mexico will be consolidating its entry into the Premium car sector, since Audi, Mercedes Benz and now BMW will be produced on Aztec soil, three of the planet's elite brands, which have been decided to "attack" from our country to the important market of the American Union, where so far one of every eight cars sold there are assembled by Mexican workers.

PERIODICO EL EXPRESS

Exports will grow according to David Medrano of the PERIODICO EL EXPRESS

The loan application document for 750 million pesos also specifies that the start-up of the BMW company will allow automotive exports to double in 4 years. By 2020, the expectation is that the total volume will exceed 20 billion dollars and would maintain a surplus in the trade balance of 35 percent.

The figures in exports will allow an increase in the Gross Domestic Product of SLP, which would go from current prices, from 26 billion dollars in 2015 to 31 thousand million dollars for 2019, with which economic growth would be above 5 percent. annual cent.

“A quarter of this growth would be thanks to the impact of BMW SLP, as a whole; A greater value of the state's economic activity will allow, among other opportunities, to have access to a greater amount of resources for federal participations ”. The effect called “BMW SLP” will also have an impact on the fiscal spill of local property taxes, On New Cars, On Lodging Services, Vehicle Control, among others, calculated at 1,049 million pesos in five years.

4.- DESIGN OF THE INVESTIGATION

  1. The research topic was determined among which were 3 different topics, being:
  • Gay marriage BMW impact Abortion

The impact of BMW in San Luis Potosí was chosen as the research topic, since the others are common topics and have been deeply investigated on several occasions, we believe that the topic we choose is an extremely relevant topic.

  1. Decision making show them:

Once the topic was determined, the authors of the research determined that the data collection would be through a survey format and that we were interested in investigating young university students.

KIND OF INVESTIGATION

DESCRIPTIVE INVESTIGATION

According to the research topic, it is determined that it is a type of descriptive research since there is necessary information about the phenomenon and its components, such as the company's line of business, where it will be installed, approximate amount of investment and approximate volume of demand of vacancies to be filled. Among many other aspects. From there it was possible to define specific and viable objectives for its measurement and obtain reliable results.

QUANTITATIVE METHOD

The quantitative method was carried out since the research would yield statistical data once the size of the sample had been determined to count and know the different opinions of future engineers graduated from the Technological University of San Luis Potosí regarding the impact that the capital will have Potosina with the installation of the BMW plant in San Luis Potosí. As well as knowing if they have considered it as a future source of work.

SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR DATA COLLECTION

  • Survey

According to the research context, we consider data collection via a questionnaire feasible, since the sample is focused on a single place. In addition to being a method with validity and reliability necessary to carry out the collection of data that will help us meet our objectives.

  • Survey validity:

5 questions were formulated based on the objectives already determined, since the answers to these correspond to the fulfillment of what we want to measure, or to the fulfillment of our objectives in the investigation.

  • Survey Reliability:

It is a totally reliable survey as the questions are fully determined and based on the research topic. This survey will be applied to all the members of the sample that are determined and will help us to measure the object of study with greater accuracy.

DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUE

SURVEY BY QUESTIONNAIRE

The survey was chosen for data collection since it is a method that adapts to all types of information and to any population, allowing information to be collected on the research topic and easy data standardization for effective subsequent analysis. Obtaining a large amount of information at a low cost and short period of time.

The questionnaire was applied in a structured way and in an interview mode where the team members asked the questions face to face, since the surveys were printed in advance, all with the same questions.

The questions used in the questionnaire were:

  • Identification questions Closed question Opinion question

The application of the surveys was simple since the population was cooperative and attached importance to the survey.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS.-

(See PDF)

According to the results obtained in the investigation, it is determined that the economic impact that the BMW installation in San Luis Potosí will have will be very positive. And only.9% consider that it will be a negative impact, being a percentage of little relevance.

Engineering students from the Technological University of San Luis Potosí consider the investment made by the State for the installation of the BMW company to be Good, with a percentage of 61.9% of the total research sample. It should be mentioned that 12.4% consider that the investment was bad or even bad.

According to the results obtained in the scientific research process, it is determined that it is a relevant percentage of students who have considered the company as a future source of work. Although 30.01% of the investigated population has not considered it or has no interest.

INTERPRETATION

While in neutral factors for the students, they consider that there will be no impact due to characteristics such as the hiring of external personnel and the demand on the level of preparation to work in said company.

As for negative factors, they mostly see the few possibilities of finding a job with their profile.

A factor that is mostly mentioned that they consider is the bad investment of the State for the company due to the little labor and salary offer open to any profile.

This graph represents in a general way the results obtained through the scientific research carried out at the facilities of the Technological University of San Luis Potosí. Where we determine that the population investigated considers that the installation of the German assembly company BMW will have a positive economic impact and that it will benefit the people of Potosí with the generation of new jobs. Emphasizing that an important index of the population investigated has considered the company-BMW-as-future-source-of-employment.

6.- CONCLUTIONS

Based on the hypothesis that was established at the beginning of the investigation, the result is that in terms of the economic impact that the installation of the German company BMW will generate, it will be very positive since it will not only create jobs but also attract more industry, thus increasing the State economy, it is worth mentioning that not only the state but also the new collaborators of the company will benefit, no matter the level of its functionality, the point is that the employment sector in San Luis Potosí will benefit from said installation. With little or much demand for jobs, the unemployment rate in San Luis Potosí will decrease.

And based on the hypothesis we mention that the university students would not have taken into account the German company as a future source of work, with the results obtained in the investigation we conclude that our hypothesis is wrong, since it is a considerable percentage of students who have taken in the BMW company as a future source of employment. Even knowing that the main requirements are the English and German languages. With which it can also be determined that university students not only expect an engineering degree but also take it as another step towards meeting their goals that there is no fear of continuing on the student path and that languages are not an obstacle.
