Induction consists of providing employees with basic information on the company's background and any other information they need to carry out their activities satisfactorily.
There are two types of induction:
- General induction - relevant to all or nearly all employees
- Specific induction: it is aimed especially at workers in certain positions or departments.
Induction programs
More complex can include a film or audiovisual on the history of the company, as well as a recorded message from the directors, who can welcome newcomers.
First stage. Welcome: its purpose is to welcome new workers, welcoming them to the organization where the human resources department carries out different activities.
Second stage. Introduction to the organization: the new worker is given general information about the organization to facilitate integration into the organization.
Third stage. Evaluation and follow-up: the purpose of this stage is to guarantee a proper development of the induction program, provide feedback on the program and make adjustments
Fourth stage. Teaching process: it will be carried out in such a way that the following steps are followed:
1.-investigate and prepare the worker
2.-demonstrate the tasks you have to perform
3.-rehearse the execution of operations
4.-follow up and check if I achieve the objectives
5.-stimulate participation
The newcomer should not be overwhelmed with excessive information.
It is negative to start with the unpleasant part of your job (if any).
You should never be asked to do jobs you are not prepared for
