Introduction

In the following article, a relatively new topic will be dealt with, that of infomulticulturalism, which follows from different terms and concepts. These concepts are those of information, communication and multiculturalism which, making a set between them, form this new concept.

We must make it clear that the human being from his appearance on earth was needed to learn to communicate, from ancient times he began to see the forms and ways of being able to do it from visual signals, to painted hieroglyphs in which he looked for a way to communicate. be able to do it.

After time passed, the human being learned to communicate verbally and that was how the first civilizations and later societies of people were formed, as each society was formed in a different way, they were adopting different customs and cultures, that is where culture comes into play, since today all the countries of the world have their own cultures which define them as a unique society.

In addition to this we also have the means of communication to be clearer. ICTs which have helped this multicultural process to develop more quickly since today information technologies allow mixing between cultures without even be geographically united. By being able to emit and receive information from all over the world, the cycle is completed and that is when infomuticulturalism comes into play.

Definitions.

Information: Information is a set of messages which carry data inside which, once processed, can help solve a problem or give a solution to a particular situation, the information is therefore given through the communication process in which a sender sends a message or set of words which are received by the receiver and this in turn decodes them in order to reach the information in the message.

Information is that set of data or codes with a certain meaning that is structured in the thinking of human beings having the need to be transmitted.

Information is power and it is knowledge, information is capable of influencing the thinking of every human being, that is why it is used in different ways to handle even the masses, if the information is misused it can be reached to unfortunate results as happens in the political sphere where information is manipulated in order to win voters or subtract them, the information influences the way of thinking directly of a person, when deciding any situation if a person has information about it, it can be formed a judgment within your "correct" thinking and thus act in the best possible way.

Culture: According to (RAE, 2018)

Set of ways of life and customs, knowledge and degree of artistic, scientific, industrial development, at a time, social group, etc. It also tells us that it is "a set of knowledge that allows someone to develop their critical judgment."

According to UNESCO, culture allows human beings the ability to reflect on themselves.

Culture in this case defines us, so to speak, as a society, as a country and even as a continent, since while one sees culture in a more globalized way, it becomes more general, but it is when we look at specific points that we see that culture becomes more defined, that is, it is going to take particular traits and ways of being, culture defines us on our customs, what we like to do as a society, what we do not like to do and also what we accept or do not accept to be done, each society has its culture defined and this is being forged over time that is why it is almost impossible to change the culture of a country, this is why international organizations when they want to enter a new country have many details when it comes to do what.

They must take into account the customs and culture of that country and if they want them to adapt to their work culture, the organization must also adapt to their culture of life.

The types of culture have been classified according to two characteristics: according to the definitions or according to its development.

According to definitions:

  • Historical Culture: refers to culture as a social heritage. It indicates the relationship between a society and its past. Topical Culture: includes topics such as the region, society, etc. Mental Culture: refers to culture as the set of habits or customs that make the difference of an individual or set of rest individuals. This is characteristic of each person and is related to their knowledge and abilities. Structural culture: it is the set of values, beliefs and behaviors related to each other. Symbolic culture: it is understood as the conformation based on the importance granted, communicated and shared by the members of a social group.

According to its development:

  • Primitive culture: it is referred to by the lack of technical innovation, such as writing or the development of some type of economy.Civilized culture: it is defined as the culture that through the creation of elements, achieve a process of innovation. illiterate: it is the one that lacks some type of writing, and its only form of communication is oral. Literature culture: it is defined by the implementation of the language not only oral but also written by any individual. (Nava, 2015)

Communication: Communication is a need of the human being, from its origins he felt that need to express himself and also by sharing what he thought or felt, it is a process by which an issuer establishes a connection at a specific time and place in order to exchange or share a message made up of ideas and information to a recipient.

Nowadays with ICTs, communication takes on a very important role since, as we said previously, all the information flows and with the use of ICTs this information is globalized and can be processed by multiple cultures.

The communication process establishes the following elements:

  • Sender: is the one who builds the message. Receiver: the person who receives the message. Message: the information that the sender transmits to the receiver. Channel: that medium through which the message circulates. Code: the system of signs by which it builds the message. Reference: the external reality to which the message refers. Situation: the circumstances surrounding the act of communication. Context: what is expressed before and after the message.

Pluriculturality

Multiculturalism is said to be a relationship based on respect between cultures. It is said that it is a process in which different cultures or members of these are related in a harmonious way.

This means that any difference that may exist is managed through dialogue, the existence of dialogue between different cultures is a historical event although in ancient times it was not an event that was commonly present.

Undoubtedly, multiculturalism will continue to exist over the years, the importance here is that whatever culture it is, the others must always be respected based on tolerance and acceptance of different ideological, cultural and religious forms, you can get to coexist within the same geographic space having different customs, traditions, being of one culture or another. (Montalvo, 2015)

Multiculturalism: Multiculturalism is the set of cultures that coexist with each other in a certain geographical area, in this way a mixture of cultures is made in which tolerance between them is a determining factor for them to collaborate with each other, usually multiculturalism is fueled by immigration, this usually happens in world organizations which have staff from all the countries of the world or for example in the great universities of the world where students from all over the world coexist and are tolerated in some way to work together.

Infomulticulturalism: It is undoubtedly a new and modern word whose purpose is to explain the factors that affect countless experiences. A recognized definition of infomulticulturalism does not exist yet, however this is a word composed of three different terms and that if they are recognized: information, communication and multiculturalism, the latter refers to cultural diversity to understand each one in a better way. an analysis of them. (Mazahua, 2016)

Infomulticulturalism, encloses the management of global information towards audiences of different cultures and therefore towards mixed groups with different characteristics, has the objective of studying how that information changes the subject who receives it, how it influences their decisions, their consumption and in their acceptance of new and old roles, concepts and stereotypes. (Gutierrez, 2016)

Infomulticulturalism in organizations

In the current globalized world, which is characterized by having a cultural diversity, it is very common to think that some cultures influence others at the same time due to the exchange of information at a global level, it can also affect various aspects such as the economic, cultural, social, etc. The exchanges of information at the global level cause people to be citizens of the world, however the global standardization in which we live is very independent of the belief of each city and nation, in this way the interaction between its members requires leaders who have the knowledge and skills, the understanding and sensitivity to understand the diversity of cultures in which we operate and thus guide your company towards cultural diversity.Culture is that form that makes a person part of a society, and is characterized by the values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that govern society. Cultural values can vary greatly from one country to another and each one of this has specific features, which is why in a company the manager must find a balance between different cultural values, local cultural values and values of the company.local cultural values and company values.local cultural values and company values.

However, for this to be possible it is necessary to have an open mind and know how to observe, synchronize and adapt in multicultural contexts and for this the role of the manager is determined because he is able to assimilate the values of the team members and see beyond its ability to adapt to the global values of other multinational organizations, obtain balances of both local and global values and thus be able to establish feelings of community. Multiculturalism brings benefits for a certain organization since the cultural mix can lead to the realization of operational and cost benefits. (Mazahua, 2016)

Infomulticulturalism outside organizations

Infomulticulturalism can have a great external impact on an organization, this is often reflected when the company is engaged in international business, which occurs between two or more people from different countries and different cultures that need to reach agreements that are generally translate into product sales. During these negotiations, he should especially consider how to transmit messages since it is common that what for some means a certain thing can be seen as an offense and can destroy any negotiation, so it is important to first find out about the culture of the other person when dealing with people from other countries. (Mazahua, 2016)

The globalization.

Globalization a also known as globalization, is a large-scale cultural, social, economic and technological process that consists of the growing interdependence and communication between the various countries of the world, thus uniting their cultures, societies, economies, markets, societies, through a series of changes.

Globalization is the result of the growing fixation of capitalism, the technological revolution and the expansion of the commercial world. In this way, the tools of telecommunication and the computing area have played an important role in the construction of a globalized world (Wikipedia, 2015).

The fundamental purpose of globalization is to be able to break borders generating a capitalist expansion in which it was possible to expand businesses, which until a certain time were limited by the internal market. This has modified the way in which countries interact in the international market.

One of the advantages of globalization is that it favors the obtaining of imported products, generates greater technological development, increases international trade, obtains foreign investment, provides better relations with other countries, as well as the way in which each country acquires an enriching process of cultural exchange.

Although in the same way, globalization brings with it a series of disadvantages such as, for example, it is thought that globalization concentrates wealth unevenly, leaving most of it in the developed worlds and giving only 25% to developing countries, which which brings with it a greater number of people living in conditions of extreme poverty. Some economists affirm that globalization, together with the technological revolution and scientific innovation, are the main causes that unemployment is increasing (Nava, 2015)

Applications of infomulticulturalism.

One of the interesting applications of infomulticulturalism is in the field of motivation, since with the help of the conjunction of the elements, culture, and multiculturalism, effective motivation can be achieved since it is not only possible to have personalized action plans with the Guarantee of reaching the employee in the simplest and most understandable way, if not optimized and personalized according to the cultural traits of the employees, this is of utmost importance since motivation will be more important in the future than capital.

Another application of infomulticulturalism is in the fight against isms or doctrines, which can be an important paradigm in a multicultural team since ism is a common human mechanism, which operates automatically at first. When it comes to someone with a different culture, through information, you must have representations of their country, their culture and their environment, to be able to interpret and adjust the ism to the correct philosophy or task. (Ávila, 2016)

To take a step towards a cultural change aimed at giving value to the information acquired, 3 elements are necessary: information, Globalization and ICTs, therefore infomulticulturalism not only offers internal changes to the organization but also makes it possible to guide strategies to reduce the probability that a new item or service will not open in the international or even national market where it is planning to launch or obtain the expected benefit with the supplier from which a commercial strategy is pursued for the optimization of resources.

Organizations, especially multinationals, face different cultural arguments that do not allow to “globalize” the way they manage and lead.

The impact of multicultural diversity on organizational performance can translate into higher costs for the company, these costs can be mitigated to the extent that an integration strategy is developed that allows people of different cultures to “feel at home ”.

Factors such as globalization and information technologies have opened new commercial channels that can generate a greater volume of business for companies, they can take advantage of them to the extent that they get to know the different cultures with which they wish to negotiate. (Amedirh, 2015)

Decision making.

In today's world with the advances in technology, telecommunications, with globalization, companies, organizations and people face new challenges, require rapid changes, managers, administrators, entrepreneurs require to be prepared to have more certainty regarding how we can or should decide, this means taking the right path and making as few mistakes as possible.

Decision-making is the process by which a choice is made between alternatives or ways to solve different life situations, these can be presented in different contexts: at work, family, sentimental, business, etc.

Decision-making is a fundamental responsibility of the organization, it matters the choice of a path to follow, it requires information about the organization and the external environment, it helps the organization to learn and decision-making can include participation subordinates.

Decision Making Classes

Programmed decisions: They are those that are taken frequently, that is, they are repetitive and it becomes a routine to take them; as the type of problems that it solves and they are presented with some regularity since there is a well-established method of solution and therefore the steps to address this type of problems are already known, they are taken in accordance with policies, procedures or rules, written or unwritten, which facilitate decision-making in recurring situations because they limit or exclude alternatives.

Unscheduled decisions : These are decisions that are made in problems or situations that arise infrequently, or those that require a specific solution model or process, for example: "Launch of a new product on the market", Unscheduled decisions address rare or rare issues. (Gutierrez, 2016)

conclusion

As we have noticed, infomulticulturalism is not yet a well-defined word, yet we have tried to break down each of its components to achieve a better perception of what it is trying to imply when talking about it.

The infomulticulturalism seeks a perfect mix of cultures, the information that is used as well as communication, and is the basis for coexistence and tolerance between cultures.

We must bear in mind that the use of ICTs and the flow with which information travels the world today is a two-edged sword since all this information can be used for good but also in a globalized world where It is common for immigrants in other countries to cause conflicts if their use is with intent and with the intention of staining some cultures with others, being able to provoke conflicts even warlike as we see it today where in the Middle East there is a war of cultures and different thoughts Which affect the whole world since it shows a wrong face of the use of information.
