Management challenges for contemporary markets

If you think you still have time, forget it, you are no longer on your side!

"Hearing expressions such as" Nothing is wrong "or" There is still time "make me bristle, because the least of it is precisely time, especially once we have screwed up with the Client! Believe it or not, or you anticipate others to achieve an important position in the market, or someone has already done it for you!

Competing in the market in these times requires not only learning to differentiate yourself, but to make it possible before others. Either you anticipate or they take your market share right under your nose!

There is no doubt that the business world and life itself change every moment. I have been insisting practically all year on the great need we have as people and as companies to continue changing and differentiating ourselves strongly to have a solid position in the market.

Meditating on the concept of differentiation, the question arose:

And what is the case or for what purpose do we differentiate ourselves if we do it later than the others? This is precisely what I want to discuss with you in this article. The importance of time.

To have a competitive position in the market, it is no longer enough to have quality parameters above competitors, it is not enough even to achieve productivity indicators above what was initially budgeted, it is not enough either to have an innovation or development department of new products trying to do what nobody does. If we don't add the variable of time to our action processes, we are getting nowhere!

Certainly differentiation is crucial and important and I will continue to insist that thinking the unthinkable, and doing what few or no one dare gives us the great opportunity to be unique for our Clients, but achieving this change out of time is finally no longer important. It is necessary to anticipate others to be able to win the race for the market in a nutshell or we will be left watching others win the race because they have done it before us.

Time is the least we have on our side, on the contrary we always have a race against it. Our clients will not wait for us, they are ready to change and review the best options for them if it represents them to be ahead of the others.

One hesitation or one blink and you are left behind, simple as that!

Gloria's moment passed in front of you and it slipped through your hands. There will always be others who will be attentive to give more than you if you allow them. Hence the great need to deploy all the leadership of your company in order to achieve its highest purpose as a business in the market. You have to learn to unleash the potential of your leaders or else you and your business will be out of the way.

"If you are late offering the best you have, it will not be highly appreciated precisely because your best thing is to arrive after the others." Is it clear?

To be able to step on safe ground in the market, you must be willing to give everything for those you serve, otherwise you will not be well valued. You must be aware that if you arrive after others you are offering only what your possibilities reach you and in this sense you have fallen very short when trying to show the best of yourself.

Time is no longer yours, it belongs to the client and that is where you must focus to achieve a competitive position. But you have to align the entire organization in order to do that. How?:

1. Clarifying your vision regarding what you think of the Client in every corner of your business.

2. Unleashing all the strength and potential of its workers so that they can achieve their vision in terms of differentiated service.

3. Training all your people (all levels) in leadership so that they can provide themselves at the highest level to others and can turn your company into a continuous learning organization.

4. Eliminating positions of power to turn them into true transformers of change through better directing people.

5. Cohesion of the forces of the organization to turn them into a single unit of action that solves all the needs of its clients.

6. Learning from mistakes to translate them into true components of experience in the daily work and serve as the basis for a truly innovative model of experimentation.

7. Learning from those in the lead, who are also a source of inspiration and a very great support for innovation.

8. Solving the client's needs on the spot, which requires a great service disposition.

9. Listen, listen and listen to the Client every day and act throughout the organization in their favor.

10. Recognize the effort of your Team as long as it is aligned with the Client. It is no longer about working hours and hours, but being very effective with the result.

Today, organizations not only seek to be among the best in terms of product quality and price, but to arrive before others, since the levels of demand from customers is higher now than in the past. It is very fast to fall behind the competitors, you only have to look down to realize that your efforts did not generate results. Hence the great need to insist that investment in people is the best way to continue successfully in the market.

It is time not to waste time! Stop solving problems related to lack of communication, cohesion, work and any other kind. Learn with your team to properly focus your priorities and run after them, because if you don't, others will surely do it for your business. It is now about being effective and efficient, the rest matters little to your Clients, believe it or not, but you must learn to run with a clear direction with those who follow you while overflowing with passion to satisfy the most pressing needs of who buy from you.

"On the long and complex road to the top, if you don't decide to learn, you simply won't get very far"

It's clear in the business world that if you don't run faster than your competitors, you won't be able to succeed. But you won't get very far if your work team isn't physically fit enough to walk long stretches.

Imagine a farmer talking to the harvest to negotiate more nutrients in the land so that they can produce better fruits, or the cows in a stable negotiating with their owner the possibility of better feeding to be able to produce meat and milk of the quality that this one wants. This is how clients are now, asking for the best of you to satisfy their needs but you will not be able to do it unless you change inward and also give the best to the people who work in your company.

You have to train together with them to respond quickly to changes in the environment, and you have to seek that your philosophy in relation to the Client is clear in all areas and departments of the company. There should be no place in the business where the voice of the Customer is not heard.

And it is not an issue that you have to leave for later, it is a matter of extreme urgency because now the response time is everything. It can mean your success or your failure.

Your people are the only competitive advantage in the future of your business and you cannot afford to keep them still, inert, without movement, without passion, without movement, without a deployment at the highest level of your leadership and influence. They are times of rapid and consistent change, they are times of adventure, of risk taking, they are times of great decisions, even when this means stepping out of your comfort zone and demanding more of you.

Returning to the example of the farmer or rancher. Imagine that one corn plant tells the other.

"Run further than the sun does not give me" and she responds, send a WhatsApp to the owner so that it reaches you.

No, no, efficiency and effectiveness is a task for leaders and it depends on their performance that both are achieved for the good of the business and its market. There is no more time to waste, either you start making the big decisions right now, or lament for what's coming, which will surely come as a storm in your sales statistic.

"True leadership is always just in time to ensure that people (clients) receive the service they will not be able to find elsewhere" This is called Differentiation!

"It is time to stop wasting time." You need to focus on achieving your results by being very efficient in the customer service process and being very effective in achieving the highest profitability for it. You have no choice!
