Simulate an assembly line with “Mega blocks.
objective
Balance production line with continuous revival.
Purpose
Know the techniques in practice for the construction and balancing of production lines as well as the restrictions that exist in the real environment for their construction.
Draft
The project consists of creating the following workstations and getting them to interact with each other to simulate a production line.
The operations to be carried out are the following:
- Warehouse Production line Inspection station Disassembly station (pretending to be a raw material supplier)
Station description
1. Warehouse:
The warehouse is made up of a person who is in charge of receiving the disassembled material (supplier), this is in charge of receiving the parts, ordering them according to the operation assigned according to the production line.
In three containers, the function of the warehouse is to supply according to the visual image and the procedure
manual for the supplier within the time established to supply the production requirements (See Manual of procedures for the warehouse Annex 1 for a visual aid)
2. Production line:
The production line is made up of 3 people and three different operations, the part is divided into 3 different subassemblies, each operator is in charge of assembling the part in 8 synchronized times of 4 seconds in order to keep the line balanced in order to be removing a part. complete every 32 seconds. See operations manual for operation 1, 2,3 (Annex 2)
3. Inspection station:
The inspection station formed by one person is in charge of inspecting the parts that come out of the production line to ensure that they comply with the customer's specifications established visually through the visual included in Annex 3.
4. Disarm Station:
The disassembly station formed by one person is the one in charge of receiving finished parts and disassembling them to generate a complete cycle to the warehouse, with the disassembling operation, we are simulating the position of the supplier within a factory, which is in charge of Stock the warehouse according to purchase requirements. The procedure for the disarming operation is found in (Annex 4).

Annex 3
Dispenser Procedure
- With the line loaded and in production. Pick up the material tray from the warehouse. Place each tray in the corresponding operation. Go to the Finished Product area and Take the part (s) that are in PT (finished product). To the disassembly area where you leave the part and the empty tray.Take the Raw Material tray in the same disassembly area.Go to the warehouse area. Please leave the Raw Material tray.Repeat steps 1 to 7.
Procedures for the Quality Inspector
- Take the finished product from the band Place the product in the center of your fixture / visual aid Check that Side 1 matches the shape and color of the visual aid Rotate the fixture and product clockwise Check the next Side 2 Turn the fixture and product clockwise Check the next Side 3 Turn the fixture and product clockwise Check the next Side 4 If the PT meets the specification of visual aid on all sides passes material to PT area for shipping, if not within specification, correct error and return to step 10.
