This document presents the systems to measure productivity, the factors that influence it, and how it is developed to strengthen decision-making in companies. Productivity in companies is measured by indicators and is evaluated by comparing it with the productivity of other companies, which produce the same goods and services, leading companies in the market that have high technology. Also, the issue of productivity in education will be presented and how it is related to Identity, which can be defined within the workplace, as the feeling that a person feels of belonging to the company, feeling like a valuable member of the team of work.

Abstract:

This paper presents the systems to measure productivity, the factors that influence it and how it will develop to strengthen decision making in business. The business productivity is measured through indicators and evaluated in comparison with the productivity of other enterprises that produce the same goods and services, market leading companies that have high technology. Also, introduce the topic of education and productivity as it relates to Identity, which can be defined within the workplace, like the feeling a person feels to belong to the company, feeling like a valued team member work.

To get started, let's discuss the following terms:

Identity: Set of conditions that distinguish a person from others.

Productivity: Increase or decrease in physical or financial performance that occurs due to the variation of any of the factors involved in production.

Technology: Set of knowledge and standards of a mechanical trade or industrial art.

Currently, Companies use the term "productivity", referring to the way in which an employee provides the product and service in the same. Productivity is the relationship between the amount of goods and services that are produced and the amount of resources that are used to achieve this result.

We understand productivity as the result obtained from a person's work, which promotes competitiveness in various sectors, such as the economy, although it is worth mentioning that it is not only the result of the activity carried out by a person, but of everything a work team.

To be productive, the human being needs to feel identified with what he does and that is why identity is essential in individuals, since it refers to values ​​and belonging of an individual, and in the labor aspect, it is to feel identified with his company.

In the labor aspect, if an individual is not satisfied with what he does, that is, with the activities or tasks that he performs in his job, then he will not produce effectively, because his interests do not agree with those of the company, that is why it is so important to seek to do what satisfies us.

It can be said that productivity consists of producing more day by day, that is, doing more things than you did in a previous day, applying new methods.

Productivity means doing things better progressively, from the beginning to the end, it consists of learning from the past, always adopting positive thinking, facing the present with determination and enthusiasm, and building a future through the adoption of dynamic visions. and open to change.

The purpose is to understand the term "productivity" and its relationship with "Identity", so my hypothesis is that if it is necessary for a collaborator to feel fully identified with the mission, values, goals and structure of the company, to In this way, to be able to feel part of it and put on the shirt, that is, that the identity of the possible collaborator, goes according to the identity of the company, in order to comply with the productivity standards of this.

Therefore, we will analyze what productivity is, what factors influence it, how it is developed and measured and how this concept is addressed in education, in order to know the attitude of young people to this term, based on the theory of Identity.

1.1 The foundation.

"A person has the right to know his past to defend his identity."

Identity is what is known as the personality of a person, it constitutes affective, cognitive and attitude aspects. That is, the identity of an individual has to do with his way of being before others; being tender, smiling, quiet, aggressive, etc., also, the fact of being aware that no one will have the same identity as us and thus also, the way in which freedom is used, to express what we feel and think and make decisions in life.

Therefore, Identity is related to the Pyramid of basic needs (Maslow), as is the need for affiliation, that is, to feel part of a group based on who we are, what we like, interest, to our way of thinking, feeling, being and acting.

Identity can evolve over time, because when we are little we dream of something or we like certain things, but as we grow and learn more things, interests change, however, it can also be a process to affirm what we say we are. It is possible to speak of sexual, corporal and social identity, to mention the most important ones.

Therefore, identity is the result of the set of identifications that are discovered throughout life, whether it is idealized, admired or feared.

1.2 What is Productivity.

In general terms, it can be said that productivity is obtaining "more with less", as mentioned in the finance article, published on the Internet where they define productivity as "The relationship between the quantity of goods and services produced and the amount of resources used ”that is, how many resources I am using to produce.

On the other hand, Karl Marx defined labor productivity as: “… the social degree of labor productivity is expressed in the volume of the relative magnitude of the means of production that a worker, during a given time and with the same tension of the workforce, transformed into a product… ”, according to a source published on the Internet.

This means that productivity does not depend on exceeding the working day, so I consider that the saying is very true: “Working overtime means low productivity”, that is, we can produce the same or more, with the same amount of time at work, without asking the employee for extra effort.

There is another definition for the term, which tells us that productivity is "The relationship that exists between the goal achieved and the resources spent for that purpose" (Klein, 1965).

Another of the definitions found about productivity is: "the relationship between the results and the time used to obtain them: the less time it takes to obtain the desired result, the more productive the system is" that is, if a product is sells in a lesser amount of time than the company had in mind, there will be greater productivity, since what was initially spent, will be recovered earlier than expected.

From my point of view, although the definitions are similar and coincide in certain things, from the aforementioned definitions we could obtain a more complete one which could be as follows: Productivity;

"Amount of resources used + effort + time = Amount of goods and services produced."

1.3 Factors that influence Productivity.

At present, although the concepts of productivity remain relatively the same, despite coming from different times, what has really changed are the factors that influence a person to be productive.

There are many factors that increase productivity, which come from:

Environment: We talk about the work environment that is experienced at work, the means or equipment with which the activities or tasks are carried out.

Rest periods: Times allowed to rest, socialize, get out of tension or stress, clear the mind.

Employee integration: Process to cover the needs of the company's human resources, that is, forecast future needs, recruitment and selection of personnel and induction, in short, hiring of personnel.

Here, we are talking about hiring people who feel identified with the values ​​of the company, who are proud to belong to it, so it is important to do research about their identity, that is, their personality and interests.

Quality: Speed ​​at which goods and services are produced.

Inputs: Labor, raw materials, machinery, energy and capital.

Outputs: Products.

1.4 Productivity in Education.

Schools should encourage students to be productive, invest their leisure time in something that leaves them some kind of knowledge, personally, I believe that there are various activities through which young people can be guided to be productive, among them: interpersonal relationships, effective communication, leadership, teamwork and command of another language.

When "our identity" is not defined, the conflict occurs because we do not feel accepted in the eyes of others, because one day we are, we say and think something and the next day we want different things, which complicates the fact of belonging to a social group.

It is so interesting to see how human beings look for the answer to the question Who am I?…, Without quickly finding an answer, but with many doubts.

Becoming aware of productivity within education is elementary, that is, creating in students a culture of “being productive”, of caring instead of worrying, of doing instead of asking and acting and not waiting to receive something It will make people more capable, which over time will make them know their own identity, based on what they are interested in, what they like and what they identify with.

1.5 How to develop Productivity.

To increase productivity, employees usually work for quick profits at whatever cost and in the end, they only get bad results because they are not well coordinated. This is why, to increase productivity, a cultural change must first take place, that is, create a positive climate and teamwork.

Sometimes, productivity does not happen as expected, because it is the bosses or managers themselves, who send confusing messages that are difficult to understand.

Organizations always ask to want to get more, without giving anything in return, even without supporting and getting involved in the objectives of the company.

Víctor Frankl, in his book "Man's Search for Meaning" has shown that a vital motivator of the human being is found in the fact that his activities, including his paid professional work, have a clear meaning, that is, that for him individual is not in any way unknown the "for what" of the efforts he makes at every moment of his life.

In other words, for the human being to feel identified with his work and with his company, he must find meaning in the work and effort that he makes every day to achieve the goals and objectives of the company, so that he knows that his contribution contributes something someone, feeling in this productive way, hence the importance of identifying with the company.

Among the activities that can be carried out to develop productivity, the following can be mentioned: Hire talented collaborators, people who identify with the values, mission and goals of the company, remunerate fixed and variable management according to the market, give incentives for initiatives provided by workers and by results, evaluate performance, create a life and career plan.

1.6 How to measure Productivity.

When it comes to raw materials it is simple, but when we talk about the product being care and service, to measure productivity it must be related to customer and employee satisfaction.

In general, there are two ways to measure productivity:

1. Units produced between inputs used; It also depends on the technology used by the company to be able to produce.

2. Productivity based on the commercial value of the products; That is, depending on the total sale made by each employee, it will be the salary that will be paid and thus, based on it, productivity can be measured. A product must be well manufactured from the first time and satisfy the customer's needs, an error implies an additional cost and low productivity, due to time invested.

1.7 Continuous Improvement of Productivity in a Company.

It is about working intelligently, that is, employing adequate knowledge to guarantee quality service and work, as well as the desired level of cooperation, innovation and support, also, implementing and making use of appropriate technology for what it produces, counting with necessary and appropriate physical conditions at work, and develop methods by which they can measure productivity.

After having carried out the research, I can say that productivity is an issue in which all companies should pay close attention, because I consider that when a company presents red numbers, it has a lot to do with this, in addition, I learned that sometimes, In order to fill a vacancy, those in charge of recruitment and selection of personnel limit themselves to inquiring whether the interests of the candidate are in relation to the interests of the company.

This helped me to verify and demonstrate that it is true that the identity of a person is vital at the time of hiring, that is, the person must feel that they belong to the company, must have a spirit of affiliation and likewise, the company it should make him feel valuable for belonging to it.

It should be noted that I learned that the term "productivity" has different concepts, this, depending on the point of view in which each person sees it, because one can become productive by investing less time (doing more with less) or, using the same resources to produce (do more with the same), in other words, productivity is the time or resources that are used in a process.
