3 golden tips to build your brand

Table of contents:

Anonim

I have to start this conversation by telling you how it was that I came to this topic.

Today's topic was going to be similar to the previous two about my tips for the week on websites and online marketing, but just before I started writing I thought:

Is it really what my followers need to learn from me?

What would be something I can teach you about online and web marketing that you really need to know?

Starting a business is not just anything and, more importantly, most people don't even dare to try, doing it is already a great achievement in itself.

Thanks to my combination of interests and knowledge (between marketing, strategy, web design and entrepreneurship), I have information that I personally consider GOLD, and I need to share it because every day I see things, companies, businesses with so much growth potential, but many times, what is needed is knowing how to do it.

And this seems "unfair" to me because each business has a special mission in this world.

If we could really communicate what our business can deliver to our customers, we could connect with them and even change some aspect of their lives for the better.

Wouldn't it be the perfect world? Where we all work to collaborate with each other, each one in his subject, in his role, in his role, with his responsibilities, but giving others something that will improve his life in something.

And isn't that the bottom line of doing a business? Yes, of course we want to grow, of course we want to contribute financially to the family, of course we want to become independent, but basically, I think, what we need is for the world to need us, to mean something to others, to deliver the best of what what we know how to do (in other words: let's work the best we can do it).

Today I am going to make an effort to summarize a lot of knowledge in just 3 points.

I did it especially thinking about saving you a lot of work, study, practice and tests that I have already passed.

This is how I share these three golden rules to transform your brand into a great business:

1. Start by defining and specializing in a single market and on a single topic

What does this mean?:

Think about this, you go to the store, and the truth is that we enjoy being there seeing new things, imagining the sensations that we would have in "putting on that shirt" in being able to go somewhere with it, showing it to our partner when we get home. and take it out of our green bag with natural fiber rope… does that ring a bell?

Of course, all those brands, before managing to make that shirt, that store, that bag, they thought, what do you believe in? In you !, your target market, imagining yourself doing precisely what you imagined.

But the question is how is it that this brand managed to think so specifically of me, with precisely that thought?

The key: He specialized, so much so that he was able to define not only the demographic factors of his niche (sex, age, nationality, everything that they teach us is our target market), but he also imagined that the IDEAL target market (and that is precisely the key word), it would be someone like you, with a lifestyle like yours, with experiences very similar to yours, with friends very similar to yours, and it was so specific, that he managed to create the ideal product.

The more specialized your business is, the easier it will be to connect with your ideal client and communicate your real value.

2. Think about the problem you will be solving

Where am I going with this?

Sometimes we believe that when we are creating a product, we are going to solve the most serious problem in our entire market.

One question, have you thought about whether they really have that problem? If not, I suggest you stop reading and start analyzing it. If you conclude that what you are solving as a company is not a big problem, I have a suggestion: change your business.

It is difficult to accept that someone does not want what for us can become so important. Unfortunately (but fortunately), not everyone thinks like us, and that is why there will never be an ideal method, an ideal product, an ideal business.

The personalities are so varied that it allows markets to advance, tastes to change, and priorities to be reversed.

Think about this, if what you really want to do with your life is contribute through your business, the most important thing is that you can help at least one person solve at least one problem.

3. When something works for you, turn it into a system

The image you see above is nothing more and nothing less than a Big Mac, the same that, since it debuted in 1968, has been a success and, therefore, they have decided not to change anything.

How did they go about achieving such success?

When the Kroc brothers found a way to make hamburgers as quickly as possible, they decided to document those factors that made them so efficient, opened another restaurant, tried it out, and had the same success.

When they already had four restaurants with the same way of working and the same success, they decided to found "McDonalds System, Inc." as a legal structure to run your franchises.

And how is it possible to define a system?

Just like they did, trial and error. If you think something can work, start small, test, wait for results, compare, optimize, test, wait, compare, optimize…

Define everything that works specifically for your business and declare it your system, no matter how small it is, take it into account.

Remember that your client communicates with you through small signals: take into account the small things and you will have great results, tweet this phrase.

In conclusion

Before starting to give flight to your brand or business, stop for a moment and really think and reflect where you are going, what you are going to solve, who you are going to solve it for, and start walking, if it works, document and create your system.

Do trial and error at each step, think very well about what your market wants before you want to transmit or communicate your entire image, your messages or simply your product or service, the most important thing is your client and to have a successful business, You must listen to what I am saying.

Finally, I share this video that talks about the process of starting a business. You should consider these points:

  1. One business at a time Think about the immediate result you are going to look for with this business Decide the long-term results you need How much time and money will you invest before deciding whether it worked or not? Test, compare, decide, optimize, test, compare, decide, optimize…
