Decision and action. the 2 things you need to achieve your goals

Anonim

Surely many times you have wondered what certain people do to achieve what they propose and if you would be able to achieve the same. Whether it's a career change, starting your own business or turning your life around, there are people who make it (with work and effort, of course) and people who spend half their lives thinking about it or making excuses.

The difference lies in one thing only: attitude. Of course there are many other necessary or even essential things, practical things; but those, in general, you can learn, hire or buy. The attitude does not, and within the attitude there are two things that all the people who have started something have taken into account. These are two key steps that, however, not many people take:

1. Decision

2. Action

It seems silly, but nothing is further from reality. First of all you have to know what you want and make the decision to go for it, and that leads to the second step, doing whatever it takes to get it, as if your life depended on it. That's where it usually fails.

Obviously it is not as easy as it seems, the easy, the comfortable is to create a thousand and one excuses, that if the crisis, that if I am very old or very young, that if I do not have money or time or everything. I have already commented on several occasions that these types of excuses are a disguise of fear. But for a moment, imagine that you were not afraid, that you knew that things were going to turn out well for you… What would you do?

Really, think about it, if you were sure of that, what goal would you set for yourself? What actions would you take? The question is that there are opportunities and ideas everywhere, but you don't see them because you are focused on your fears and internal barriers, but if for a moment they disappeared, think, what opportunities would you have right now in front of you?

It has probably happened to you once, you are stagnant and indecisive for a while and as soon as you decide to do something, opportunities begin to appear and you begin to have more and more clear where to go. Because many times what is scary is the how, right? And how do I get there, and how do I get there. The interesting thing is that the "how" appears once you have committed yourself and made the decision. It does not fail. Also, it is not always what you expect, or the way you expect it; that's why it's important to be open-minded and not obsess over a certain way of doing things. From experience I tell you, as the saying goes: "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."

Then comes the part of doing what you have to do as if life were in it. If you want to achieve your goals you have to work, that's the way it is and do whatever it takes, overcoming fears and barriers. It is easy? Not always, but the most difficult thing is to take the first step, once you have started it no longer costs as much. It is also essential to be flexible and change the behaviors and attitudes that are necessary. That is also what fails in many cases, when you have proposed something and you do not advance, you do not see results. Then it is time to stop and think about what you are doing or not doing. It's time to change things because you already know it's crazy to expect a different result always doing the same thing (as Einstein said). You have to change and implement, take action, be willing to do things you have not done before, to move forward despite your fears or if not, how do you intend to see results?

And if you are one of those who thinks "I already know that, you don't say anything new" (which is true, little new can be said today), just one thing, if you really knew it, you would have results. So if you are wondering why you don't get what you set out to do, you already know what you have to do: make the decision to achieve your goal, do whatever it takes and adapt to the circumstances. Without excuses.
