Self esteem
- Valuation that one has of oneself. Positive or negative. It is formed through a process of assimilation and reflection through which the opinions of socially significant people (parents, teachers, colleagues…) are internalized and used as criteria for their own conduct.
Is self-esteem the same as self-concept?

Self-concept is the general idea that we develop about ourselves in different aspects of our life.
Self esteem
Self-esteem is the assessment we make of that idea, whether positive or negative.
