We can all be happy

Anonim

After interviewing hundreds of people, I can affirm that the vast majority interpret as happiness doing what they want, when they want and where they want. They also interpret happiness as the absence of problems, they believe that difficulties threaten their happiness and what they fervently want is that there are no oppositions to their deepest desires. When you are reading this note, you may ask yourself if you think this way. It seems obvious to conclude that a life in which you can do what you really want without the appearance of problems would be a happy life, right?

They have taught us to see life and happiness in this way. A very peculiar way of feeling full and happy since, without a doubt, there will be very few times that these circumstances can occur, complying with all these terms. A life without difficulties is not life. Nobody can always do everything they want, when they want and where they want. And the most important thing is that if you could, you would probably find that you still wouldn't achieve that thing called happiness.

In fact, it would feel, those that many who reach the top feel, a great inner emptiness. If you think that by being in control of everything you can feel complete, you are wrong. It is precisely these people who get out of control the most easily. No one can be in absolute control. There is no such level of perfection on a superficial plane as the one I am raising in this note. Happiness is confused with power. The power to do, to decide, to control, to acquire, to travel and to consume. The power to be recognized, popular, famous and prestigious. The power of acceptance of the other.

We could also agree that it is not bad to feel power. But the idea is to help not confuse it with happiness. To feel empowered, a lot of things have to happen. Problems take away our power, difficulties make us feel weak and we have less control over ourselves, others and things. Nothing is needed to feel happiness. Nothing at all. To feel happy it is not necessary to look around us, it is only necessary to be present in this here and now. Attentive and aware to realize that at this moment we do not need anything else. It is the ability to stop time and make it eternal. It is the possibility of stopping our mind and feeling the breath. It is deciding to stop for an instant in space and see the infinite in things.

Happiness is not something that depends on results, not on the ego. It is a pure state of separation from our mind that at the same time unites us with the instant inspiration of the unique and present moment. Being happy is not a problem, nothing is needed to achieve it. You just have to let yourself go and ask yourself nothing more than to blur us and get us out of the state we want to be in. Being happy requires a little more commitment. It requires maintaining that state of inspiration above and through space and time. That each personal challenge in our daily life, that each thing we do and the person we love, that each difficulty we face or problem that is difficult to solve, be accompanied by that state of inspiration "happiness" that will make every problem stop being so.May every difficulty flow and may our life have a true meaning.

We can all be happy. We must be happy. But no longer through the search for control, the ego and the self-overvaluation of the mind, but in this inspired flow of the here and now that makes each life a special and unique way of being in the universe.

We can all be happy
