6 Considerations to better manage your time

I have spoken several times about the importance of knowing how to manage your time well. You already know that time is filling with obligations and activities and it is better that you are the one who decides what things fill your time, which is what is really worth it to you. Lest you fill yourself with obligations and in the end the days, months, and years go by and you realize that you have not done anything that has really been meaningful to you.

I know that it is not easy and less when one enters the routine of wanting to monopolize many things, being in everything and for everyone and always with an internal feeling of rush. But if you really want some changes, you have to get down to work, starting with these six things:

  1. You cannot do everything at once. If you try, not only will you not be able to do everything, but you will get stressed and leave things half-done or poorly done. Therefore, it is time to decide what you are going to do. Aim to start doing fewer things a day starting today. It probably seems impossible to you with the amount of things you have to do, right? But this is an essential step to learn to value your time, to prioritize and, incidentally, to be more relaxed. If today, instead of doing forty things, you decided to do only five (to say a number), what five would you choose? You have no choice but to prioritize… Take time every day to do something that, for you, is worth it, whether it is related to your friends, family, free time, personal development. If you don't do something worthwhile every day, in the end your life will have passed without pain or glory, as the one who says. Be careful to schedule every moment of your life, leave time for spontaneity. Doesn't it happen to you that there are weeks that fly by and you don't feel like you've had time to rest even if, in fact, you did? I have realized that if I have them full of activities every day without leaving a minute free, even if they are things that I like, I end up exhausted. I need spontaneity free time to decide if I stay at home, if I go for a walk, if I read a book or whatever. Even though I end up doing what I planned, but feeling like I have the freedom to choose.Try not to want to make your life perfect in a moment, it is enough to start small, make small changes. If not, as with any too large objective, you will get overwhelmed and leave it. Take action now. To start these changes it is important to do it as soon as possible and focusing on the now, in your current situation. Don't think about yesterday or tomorrow, the only time you can really change things is now. What you choose to do now is what will impact your future. Better to start today with an action, however small, than to leave it for tomorrow. Beware of indecision.Indecision keeps you paralyzed, you have to learn to set priorities and make decisions. Especially when starting to make changes. If there is no decision, there is no action. Think about what you want to change and where you can start and if you are blocked start with anything, the important thing is to start, you can always modify the strategy later, if necessary. Remember, you cannot drive a car that is parked.

Perhaps doing this seems almost impossible to you because of your current lifestyle, but if you don't change things, they will continue exactly as they are. Choose one of these strategies and try it, see how it goes.
