Following a comment on an important Spanish page dedicated to the psycho-sociological problems suffered by workers, I have decided to give a more or less understandable explanation of what a psychopath is in the field of labor relations.
1. Introduction
It is easy to understand that in many organizations, there is always a person whose internal consciousness does not obey the general frameworks through which contacts, friendships and other forms of interaction are conducted in the social group.
In fact, in any group, people maintain their different ways of being, largely predetermined by their training, education, self-esteem, values and other concepts necessary for the good progress of group harmony.
The difficulties that each person faces within the social group are directly communicated with their own ghosts, not to mention mental defects, that we all bring from the womb and that in certain conditions of stimuli trigger and enhance their internal disharmony or incompatibility. That is why occupational psychiatry is important, within what can be pointed out as an indispensable discipline in modern companies: Occupational medicine.
We are going to try, then, to pose what I understand is the conduct of the Chilean human labor organization and its strong pressures against the emotional stability of the workers.
2.- Brief Look At The Work Environment
Our beautiful country, where the Maker's hand spilled all the beauty that did not fit in the rest of the world, is characterized by having a population genetically interrelated with Spanish European genetics, including in it, the Basque influence. To understand it, we must capture the genetic background of our nation, starting with the fact that around 250 Huelén, center of the capital of Chile, arrived at the command of Don Pedro de Valdivia who was accompanied by Doña Inés de Suárez. Once they were the members of the group, they soon acquired a sufficient number of native servants with whom they promptly procreated the seed of the nation.

Tricks of the worst kind, assassins taken from the dungeons of Lima or Cusco, thugs and street gangsters without God or Law. They were tough people.
It is the first Chileans who derived from this mix of Spanish and native blood.
3.- The Culture of Patron de Fundo
Although it is true that the landowners who flourished under the laws of enslavement of Indians sent their children to study under the protection of the crown in Madrid, it is not less than that the law of custom reigned in the haciendas and in the fields. The hacendado or patron of the estate, was the lord and master of the place, of the territory under his influence. He married and rested, he moved from one place to another, he removed and gave, to those who by happiness or misfortune remained under his dominions.
This doing and undoing at the iron will of owner and lord, formed the criteria of the feudalist landlord and lord who ran the country until not many years ago. Specifically, until some pseudo-industrial outbursts appeared in the Chilean economy, a century has not yet passed. In other words, all the cultural influence and education “of the patron of the fund” continues to be present in our executives, leaders and management levels, in general. Pathetically, it is still observed in the desktop manager who manages a share of power of some company or service, including the public administration.
This specimen in charge of management remains confused among administrators in our time and obviously, it is possible that in the plane of genetic evolution it has incorporated, in many cases, the ancient frustrations of those who, being natives, changed their course for servants and slaves of the invaders.
Or being of European blood they ended up serving another richer and more powerful Spaniard. So, it is almost natural to understand that a third of Chilean workers today suffer the plague of moral damage at work, either vertically, by their superiors or, horizontally, by their own peers.
It has been difficult for the Chilean management layer to accept the hierarchy as a “Management Engine”, that is, of the necessary and indispensable method to optimize resources, both from the material point of view and from that of HR.
In the public sphere, this is considered a real disaster, since the positions in which the decisions reside have been filled by people who generally do not meet technical requirements or conditions, but are found there due to political flaws. It is easy to see how a Regional director of Civil registry and Identification can be, for political reasons, directing the Regional Directorate for Sports or the Regional Directorate for Housing. Assuming that this is possible due to the individual's multifunctional information, it is more than clear that it is not a person who has assumed a vocation in a certain area. But, that is what happens at the national level.
In the private order the situation is not less. The charges are distributed by family strategies, brotherhood commitments, economic ties, strategic reasons, etc. Excellence is rarely recognized.
In this order of disorder practiced by our society, more than the individual with psychopathic characteristics appear, more than what is thought, he is not apparently a soulless monster, since as a general rule he is a person of a high degree of social magnetism, admired and even loved.
4.- The Psychopath
a.- Definition
Psychopathy means or means "disease of the mind". "Sick mind". The psychopathic personality is a refuge from trauma, normally caused in his childhood, which leads him to take revenge with society on everything that happened to him.
Abuse, abuse, rape, rejection, frustrations are part of the long list of causes that, in the psychopath's fantasy mind, become channeled motivations towards the religious, moral, family, sexual or social.
It is a sick person according to the pattern of what is considered good behavior by society. The psychopath has diverse, different needs and for him he does not play the text of a predetermined social and moral reality, because, that drowns him, he prefers to dictate his own rules, modes, formulas and codes of action, but, he is intelligent enough to hide his psychopathy, which is revealed under certain conditions. This is what makes them potentially dangerous.
b.- What makes a psychopath perverse?
Well, in recent Chilean history, those who were detained and tortured by the Pinochet dictatorship remember what one of the psychopaths' ways of acting was. In the first place, the psychopath must take away from the human being, the human person, its essential characteristics, its attributes of dignity and respect, its character of being another pair with the same rights as the psychopath. Necessarily it resorts to the disqualification, like the one of "humanoid", that is equal to say that it is not a human being.
The psychopath attributes to man of art superior knowledge and skills, therefore he must destroy these skills in order to lower him and be able to treat him as a thing, an entity. This was the destruction with the butts of the hands of Víctor Jara, before his murder.
In general, the psychopath attacks the essence of the human being to destroy him, first as a person, then as a living being that is no longer a person or anything like that. Therefore, the psychopath does not suffer any remorse for the simple formula handled from the hierarchy. "A, he is a traitor, he is bad, he does not serve the company, the country, he is not like us." Consequently "A is not an equal, he is an anti-patriot, he is not a human being, he is anti-company". Conclusion, "You must not continue here, you must disappear, you must go." It's that simple.
Some doctors of psychiatry point out that: “The psychopath is the manipulator par excellence, thanks to his intelligence and cunning, he manages to entangle others. For the psychopath the logical thing is the achievement of his ends. They know the difference between good and evil, they know the rules and the laws, but they just don't care in the least.
Since they do not care about the pain or suffering that their actions can cause in others, the only thing that is relevant is what they are going to get out of their actions. No regrets, no subsequent guilt, no fear or anxiety… a perfect predator. "
This is not new in the field of common practice. We know people who, even knowing that they are highly despised for their perverse attitudes against others, greet us with a beautiful smile on their lips and treat us as if we were "very important person". The reason for this is that they lack emotions and internally reflect an invariable state because they are not affected by what another person may imagine of them. In this aspect they present bold and emotionless behaviors, in fact they are never depressed or anxious, but under that appearance they build and assemble the puzzle of violence against those who kindly greet them.
It is necessary to examine the past behavior of these people. If we do it even with little thoroughness, we will find that in its history there are betrayals, malicious and malicious attacks, "bad comments and actions of indisposition" for those who suffer its fierce attack. Invention of facts that relate convincingly, without showing malice or contempt.
c.- Clekley's list of psychopathic actions.

Many psychopaths tend to appear to have completely different lives than those they lead on a family, work or social level. Their apparent marital happiness hides true social traumas for entire families, disoriented children with problems of drug addiction, alcohol and violence, and obviously, with problems of psychopathy.
5.- The Psychopath In The Company
The company that has had the misfortune to integrate a psychopath in its plant, is in serious difficulties. Not because production is going to drop suddenly, or some damaging device is going to explode. No. Worse still, because he does not know that negative forces are forming within him, which in the long run will gradually destroy the entire system of human relations, causing great misfortunes and finally, ending with the harmony and beneficial interaction of productive purposes.
The psychopath is a manipulator who will put into play all his sick cunning to achieve the disagreements he wants. Achieve the layoffs that you think necessary, overwhelm and denigrate the highest level elements that are generally all their peers. The psychopath will achieve that the discomfort rises to the upper strata of the company or of the direction of the Service, producing from time to time true earthquakes from whose epicenter he always appears very far away.
In order to make a comparison, the psychopath acts within the company with respect to those directed or to his superiors in the same way that the rapist and murderer collaborates in the search for the criminal. This is its maximum enjoyment, therefore, it shows its superiority and impunity against all the evils it unleashes.
Unfortunately, public services and companies have a high number of psychopaths at their upper levels, whose presence, for the health of the work environment, must be detected, reported and sanctioned.
It is not a game, but rather the Life and Psychic and Physical Integrity of human beings, who come to their work with the desire to create goods and services for the community, and in order to obtain sufficient income to support their family..
These people deserve the utmost respect, which forces us to be vigilant, so that the actions of the mentally ill who sometimes direct the tasks do not negatively impact the health of the workers and their families.
Such is the problem, that modern psychiatry researchers calculate, that in every hundred normal people, a psycho lies in wait.
